We have been here for about a year and a half, and have had great experiences so far. Pros: 1. Rent was on the lower end (compared to other local complexes) while searching for a place to live. 2. Maintenance has always responded promptly. We had trouble with our microwave, which was replaced quickly and fixed our problem. We have had a couple small plumbing issues (bathroom sink clogged, and the pipe loosened under our sink) which were both fixed promptly. 3. We love the care and attention to landscaping and general clean aesthetic throughout the property. (It’s an old building, but having seasonal flowers and plants put in and maintained makes a huge difference to the feel) 4. Every interaction with the property staff here has been phenomenal. They have consistently been friendly, approachable, and try to emit the community feel. (We were so surprised when the property manager walked around the pool during a super hot day to offer popsicles to the residents!!) Cons: 1. The buildings are on the older side, but like I said they are quick to assist with any issues. 2. We wish the storage “units” upstairs were regulated or assigned to each unit. Many have trash or are mainly empty but still have padlocks on them so we cannot store our bikes up there, even after checking multiple times to see if there’s an opening. Property staff do not monitor or ensure they’re being used properly. 3. The winter plowing schedule is a bit annoying, but they do give full disclaimers and directions. They will not hesitate to tow those who do not follow directions. I’m not knocking points for this, as it’s necessary to provide clear, plowed parking lots.

I’ve had an amazing experience with the Colonial Village Management Team and Community. They strive to facilitate a sense of community with frequent family friendly community events, they’re engaged with each building and anything that might be going on therein. They strive to maintain a safe, well-maintained, community. They’re efficient with any service related requests. And they’re a very dog friendly community. The dog owners have all been responsible dog owners with walking and cleaning up after the dogs also.
