The best apartments I have ever lived in, the neighbourhood is very calm and conducive for both adults and children. I have referred a lot of people and they all love it!

My application process with Ashley was quick and painless. I was able to see a model on the spot. Ashley was very knowledgeable about the property and pleasant to work with. Once approved Ashley gave me detailed information regarding the next steps and I needed upon moving in. She reached out a few weeks later to let me know that my actual apartment was ready for a walk through. There are a few minor things that needs to be addressed before I move-in in August but overall the apartment is great and my process was great!! I look forward to moving in!!
Shout Out to Ashley for making the process smooth!!

Very little complaints about Montclair. We lived there for about 9 months. This was my first apartment that my husband and I rented together and the space was comfortable and big enough even with a one bedroom apartment. We were lucky enough to have one of the remodeled units. The kitchen is very nice and spacious, the balcony is nice, especially the outside storage, and the community is friendly. Maintenance was responsive and leasing office was helpful and quick.
The one inconvenience we had was always being able to hear the footsteps and rumbling of our upstairs neighbors and having a maintenance man almost enter our apartment on an inspection day without knocking first. My husband happened to stay home from work that day and was startled. Otherwise, this was a great place to live in!

This is Dorothy, Baba’s wife who has been the one communicating with Montclair Apartments since our daughter moved in almost a year ago. I just want to leave a positive review for Sherman Moore, the leasing agent we most often interacted with. He was always so professional, pleasant and helpful! I would just like to publicly thank him! This was our daughter’s first apartment rental since she has been away at school and Sherman was always so helpful to her with understanding the process of being a renter. Plus he was excellent at communicating with me in another state as we helped facilitate (read, “pay the bill”) for her being at Montclair….thanks again to everyone there, especially the ones who made sure the snow and ice were cleared on time this past winter…oh and the pool was lovely she said, thanks for having it open!
Out of all the places I have lived (minus Germany when I was in the Army) for the last 5 years, this by far is the BEST place I have ever lived. It's nice and quiet, the neighbors are friendly, location is perfect. Not too far from Downtown Silver Spring and the Metro. The staff is nice and very helpful.
One of the coolest thing is the view from my balcony. I get some of the best cloud shots and love the fact that at any moment you might see some form of wild life.
I have NO complaints to give.

We lived here for over 7 years and sadly we had to move because of job relocation, but this was truly the best living experience of our life.
Management was incredible, big shoutout to Mr. Sherman, Jay, and Judith, they are the absolute best! They ensured our living was comfortable and our move was extremely smooth and stress free. I wish I could take Montclair with us. The maintenance team, Mr. Rob and Mr. Tae were always prompt with any requests and super professional and courteous when they were assisting us.
Thank you for an amazing journey!
I lived at Montclair Apartments for a little over two and a half years with my now-wife, starting in July 2016. Our time at Montclair was wonderful! My wife and I had a spent a lot of time apartment hunting before we stumbled upon Montclair, almost by chance, as we had initially been looking at another apartment in the same complex.
All the windows and sliding balcony door were new and well insulated. Maintenance even replaced with newer-models overtime. One feature I must note is you get a FULL SIZE washer and dryer unit. Every other apartment complex we looked at, at often more expensive prices, usually only offered a shared “laundry space” or small-sized washer dryer units. I cannot tell you how excited we were to get full size units! These were good “GE” brand washer/dryer units as well.
Parking is reasonable. You must have a parking sticker to park in the complex but these are easily obtained from the front office. For an additional charge (I believe $30-$40 a month) you can even get a reserved spot which is covered. However, there is lots of street parking for guests to park in.
The neighborhood the apartment is in is very safe and quiet. There are lots of trees surrounding the property, and our apartment unit overlooked a small pond in the back. It was very peaceful.
Front desk staff was always helpful and courteous. I want to give a special shout out to Joshua Johnson, who initially showed us the apartment unit, and was always there to answer my questions. Other features of the grounds included a well-kept pool area (which featured grills for residents to use) though I did not notice any tennis courts. There is a gym, which is small but sufficient.
Finally, I want to give a special shout out to Hong Le and his maintenance team. They were always incredibly fast responding to maintenance requests, and very friendly and professional. They always fixed issues promptly, even off hours (including the time we had a leak from the roof!). In additional, if an appliance failed, not only was it replaced within a week, it was often replaced with an upgraded appliance that was GE brand. They also kept the grounds in immaculate condition (never saw trash lying around) and were quick to put down salt and clean walkways when it snowed in winter.
I only had two complaints about my time at Montclair
1) The walls between floors seem thin. If you can, I recommend you get a 3rd floor unit. We mostly lucked out with our neighbors, but even then we could hear footsteps, fans being left on, or kids running around. If your upstairs neighbor decides 3am on a Tuesday is the best time to do their laundry, you WILL hear it. Also if your upstairs neighbors are heavy-set individuals, you are going to hear them walking around.
Again, we got lucky and our neighbors were quiet for the most part especially at night. However, I can see a situation where a noisy neighbor who is also a night-owl would drive me insane
2) The gym. When I first moved in the Gym was small but serviceable. It had a few treadmills, elliptical machines, and some benches with free weights. There was a water cooler, bathrooms with changing rooms, and a TV with cable in the corner. After renovations the gym was….downgraded. Yes they added a fresh coat of paint, but the gym was also reduced in size. The water cooler and the TV were removed. Due to the smaller size, there is no longer any room to do situps or stretches, which also means the gym gets very crowded if more than 3 people attempt to use it at once. The equipment was never upgraded, and now half of the treadmills/ellipticals are out of service at any given time. I would highly recommend Montclair at the very least upgrade the equipment as soon as possible. It made no sense to “Renovate” the gym but not update any of the existing equipment, which was already rather old.
Despite those issues, Montclair was everything we could have asked for in an apartment and then some.

Very nice apartments, looks exactly like what I seen online. Nice, great communication, welcoming vibes from the leasing office. Very pleased with this move.
