We have lived at Gables Dupont Circle for approximately a year, and we just renewed our lease for another year. Our experience has been fantastic. Everyone who works in the building is incredibly friendly and they all go out of their way to make your life easier. The building is also very dog friendly, which is a huge plus for us--they even have a treat jar by the front door that our dog tries to visit every time she walks by. When we have had minor maintenance issues, we have submitted maintenance requests easily through the mobile app provided by the complex, and the issues have been addressed promptly and completely. We pay our rent and utilities through the same mobile application, which makes things simple and obviates the need for a physical check. The app also has an autopay feature, which is handy. In short, I would recommend Gables Dupont Circle to friends, family, and anyone looking to live in the area. The location is fantastic, management and staff are superb, and the rents are comparable to those in the area.

My experience living at Gables Dupont has been a great one. I’m a long-time renter and I have lived in 8 other apartment complexes. Gables is by far the best managed. Everyone who works in the building is really friendly. It's nice to live in a place where the concierge and management actually know your name and always take a few minutes to say hello and ask you about your day. The common areas in the building are always spotless. I live in a one-bedroom apartment and it has new furnishings and in my experience, the apartment is larger than what you’ll find in most other buildings in this area of DC for the same price point. I’ve had to submit a few maintenance requests while I’ve lived here and any issues have been resolved quickly and the maintenance crew has always been really respectful of my time (knowing I’ve got to get back to work) and accommodating of my dog (knowing that she is going to bark at them like crazy). The building is smaller than a lot of the other complexes in the area, which gives it a good community feel. There are free events like holiday parties and wine tastings every few months. They are a great way to meet people in the building. I know all the people who live in my hall and I’ve never had an issue with noise coming from other apartments, the patio or the street. I’m sort of surprised that another reviewer said they had a problem with this because for me, it has been a non-issue. My favorite thing about the building is the location. I don’t think there is a better spot in DC. On one side, you're a block away from Dupont Circle and the metro. On the other side, you're a block away from the restaurants on 17th Street. And, if you want to escape the city, there is a common area out back with a nice green space. Sitting out there, you can almost forget you’re living in the center of DC.
