This building has a large shared front porch and a beautiful leaded glass entryway with a secure door. The living room looks out over the front porch with a large window and another leaded glass window. There is a built-in air conditioner, gorgeous French doors, ceiling fan and refinished oak floors that run through the bedroom as well. Bedroom has a large built-in wardrobe. The bathroom is completely remodeled with a tiled walk-in shower with glass enclosure, large vanity, more closet space, and all new fixtures. There is a private entrance into the basement where you have access to shared laundry and extra storage space. (The other residents use an exterior entrance to the basement.) The kitchen is huge, remodeled, high-end everything. Tons of cabinets and counter-space. Recessed lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and another ceiling fan. Stainless steel appliances include 5-burner gas range, built-in microwave, French-door refrigerator with freezer on the bottom, and full-sized dishwasher. There is even room for a small table and chairs. Through the back door, you’ll find a quiet courtyard with a deck you can enjoy. There is off-street parking at the alley in the back. Landlord takes care of all yard maintenance. Sidewalk snow removal is a shared responsibility among the residents. This location is the heart of the Lakeside Historic District, just a few blocks from Downtown in one direction and Lakeside Park in the other direction. You are within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, parks, trails, summer festivals, arts and culture, and more. Centrally located and not more than 10-15 minutes commute to anywhere in Fort Wayne. Resident will pay a $75/mo flat fee for the gas and water utilities, and will put the electric service ($30-$40/mo) in their own name. We are looking for a quiet and courteous long-term tenant to enjoy this gem of an apartment. There is a minimum 1-year lease, but we would gladly offer a 2-year lease as well. Our ideal applicant has good credit, no criminal background, no prior evictions, and income equal to 3x the rent. We may consider a cat or a small (under 30lb) crate-trained dog, subject to individual approval and monthly $45 pet fee.
