The maintenance staff at Sunset Summit is excellent. Led by Polo- and the office team they respond quickly and efficiently. Often within hours. If you are looking for a place to live with great ammenities and a responsive and responsible local staff. This is a good choice. We have lived here going on 3 years.
I've loved living at Sunset Summit for going on 2 years now.
The Good:
- The community is very friendly
- Great views
- Awesome local walking areas
- <10min from Pearl District
- Walking distance to QFC, albeit pricey than other grocery stores it's great in a pinch or if you don't have a car
- The management staff is a JOY to communicate with. Specifically I've had great experience with Tina, Laura, and Sarah when it comes to lease renewals, maintenance requests, or general questions.
The Bad:
- Haven't found anything yet. I guess it's a bit pricey compared to other apartments, but as someone who has looked around recently, you really get what you pay for :)
We have lived at Sunset Summit for almost four years and have had a wonderful experience. We chose to move here because of the convenient location to downtown, but without the noise and hustle and bustle of being in the city. The views from this community are unmatched. We regularly enjoy sunsets from our balcony, birdwatching, spending warm summer days at the pool (many times we have the entire place to ourselves), and we appreciate the serene and peaceful environment that Sunset Summit offers. Management has been so wonderful - Sarah and Laura are both super friendly, professional, and attentive. The amazing maintenance team - Polo, Mike, and Mario are always quick to respond and diligent in making repairs in a timely manner. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. If you’re looking for a peaceful, upscale, and conveniently located place to live, this is it!

We moved here in June, with zero expectations because of previous experiences, Cassie helped us through Al the process cause was an out-of-state move, and since then she's been nothing but helpful and on-point with all our needs and questions. Maintenance is great, Don Polo always makes sure all our WO are done in time and manner, and always asks us if we need something else.
We love living here plus the view is fantastic!

I have lived in Sunset Summit Apartments for the past two years. What I enjoyed:
1. Safety. Further from downtown where the crime rates are high.
2. Central location in Portland Metro, close to almost everywhere
3. View is stunning with southwest facing window, lots of sunlight during the daytime.
4. Maintenance is very convenient, and friendly. They respond almost always on the same day or the next day.
5. I highly recommend Polo, the service manager. He is quick to respond, friendly, and answers my questions with clarity and kindness. He does good work and is always willing to help.
I have lived at Sunset Summit Apartments for nearly a year now and have nothing but GREAT things to say. Not only do I feel very safe in this community, I feel as if the office goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. From answering all of my emails, to maintenance addressing any requests within a day, I am sad my job is sending me to a different state.
Additionally, having lived in the second floor unit I very rarely heard any of my neighbors. I know the neighbors above and below me had dogs, but I never heard them running/barking. As with every appliance in this property, the walls were built sturdy and new. This made me feel right at home without additional disturbance.
My favorite thing about this place was that I felt safe. As a single woman in Portland I was able to walk around at night with BOTH my headphones in. I was able to walk to and from the Cascadia taphouse (the best place for a beer) even after trivia and never felt unsafe.
Yah, I hear you: it is on the pricy side but man is it worth it. Get yourself a safe, clean place that is 10-minutes away from Portland with a freakin' bus system. Treat yo self to this place.
I’ve lived in Sunset Summit for 2 years. I had nothing but great experiences!! The complex is beautiful and nestled in lush forest, so it was always quiet and peaceful. I fell in love with the stunning view from the windows, so this is something that you cannot get living in other apartment complexes in Portland!
All the staffs are very kind and attentive. The front staff Liz, Alicia, Cassie are always friendly and kind. My 5 y/o son loved talking to them every time he had a chance.
The maintenance staffs Polo, Mike and all the staffs are super nice as well. Very quick to attend to the maintenance requests, listen carefully to my concerns, and very professional and polite.
I was always grateful for the fact that all the staffs are very professional and at the same time easy to reach out to. We felt welcomed in the community.
The neighbors are all nice, friendly and respectful too. Never had any loud noise around my unit. Also, I should mention that the walls are thicker than other apartments I’ve lived in the past. So barely heard my neighbors talking through the walls.
Easy access to both Beaverton and Portland. Especially super easy access to all the trails in forest park, so if you love the woods, this is the place for you!
So, what an amazing experience at Sunset Summit! I will definitely recommend this beautiful place 100%! Thank you, I am so grateful to have lived in this community.
