Lived here for 2 years, loved these apartments. These are one of, if not THE most spacious apartments in Wichita. Spacious laundry room with plenty of storage space, Pantry, huge master bedroom with a large walk-in closet. A large lake in the back is a nice spot to hang out with the kids. Love the indoor heated pool. The fitness room is not great though. Playground is average too.

My wife and I moved into East Hampton last month and so far everything has been great. The indoor pool and sauna made it a done deal for me. Lol Brooke and Chris made us feel very welcome the second we walked in the door. The apartment was super clean at move in and have not had a problem yet.

We shopped around Wichita for awhile before choosing East Hampton Apartments. We liked the location, and how it is secluded from the rest of the surrounding area. It is close to WSU, YMCA, Starbucks, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Wholefoods, and endless good Restaurants to choose from. It is a 2 minute drive to get onto Kansas Highway 96, and a 15-20 minute drive maximum to any corner of Wichita. The property is surrounded by natural boundaries/barriers via Trees, creek, and a large pond with Wildlife! You cannot hear the traffic from the highway, Rock Road, or Goveneour street. (You do occasionally get the eccentric loud driver in the middle of the night, out to show that they are the coolest) but that can be expected wherever you are in town. We did not have any issues with the appliances, the dishwasher is a little dated but runs good. The fridge is newer (could always be bigger), and the washer and dryer run great. The water is hotter than hot if you want it to be, and does not run out of hotness. The heat and central air work as expected. The Thermostat is mercury switch, (analog not digital) so it does take a little time for the mercury to catch up with the actual temperature of the room before it kicks on or off, but overall comfortable. The East Hampton Buildings are a little older (for you millennials out there). I believe they were built in the later 1990's, but the dwellings/apartments are kept up to date. The carpet in the hallways could use a remodel. They units are decent sized, with options of vaulted ceilings, and multiple floor plan designs. The patios are large and concrete, but no bikes are allowed on them (I'm guessing because of tornado/strong wind activity in the Kansas area, I would recommend securing any patio furniture or grills due to this reason), so you will need to rent a garage, or storage room. The garages are narrow, but management allows for construction of shelves for storage space. The workout room is a little dated, but it gets the job done, the sauna is functional (cannot use water on the rocks) I believe the hottest i have had it is around 120 degrees F. The pool(s) are kept up, very clean. I believe they are salt water. They also clean the Hot tub on a regular basis. There are locker rooms located outside the fitness/pool area for changing, secure storage, and showering for convenience. Be aware that SMOKING is allowed in the dwellings! If that is a deal breaker, you are now warned that it is common in Kansas. We moved from a state where that is not allowed, so we forgot to asked before we moved in. We usually can't smell it, only when the wind is right, our patio door is open, and our neighbors are smoking outside on their patio. The Management Staff is really friendly. They sponser fun events during the holidays, by decorating the community room and serving food and treats. They have also been known to hand out free breakfast and coffee/hot cocoa on special occasions. Business side, they take care of tenants issues promptly, and in a timely fashion. The office is open 7 days a week, but with limited hours on the weekend. Management does not put up with anyone causing issues, it is a clean establishment, and the maintenance is done usually in the same day that the call is placed. There is also an emergency maintenance guy on call after office hours. When there has been an issue with faulty equipment or loud neighbors, they handle it. The front office also takes in delivered packages, and stores them in a secure room until you can come pick them up. The Neighbors are really friendly here, everyone gets along, and respects each others space. There are people from all walks of life, in all age groups, from young to the elderly. Some can be louder than others but if there is an issue, management will talk with them and it will be sorted out. I would definetly recommend East Hampton Apartments to anyone moving to the Wichita area.
