I lived in the Martinique for five years, moving to Las Vegas in September 2020. It was just time for me to take a break from the Minnesota winters after working so much this year, and Las Vegas has always been my "happy place", but I digress. Every time I've moved into a place, I always wondered why the previous tenant moved OUT, and you don't always get the chance to ask them (whether it's a good or bad reason), so that's my reason for leaving the Martinique. While Minneapolis has changed in the past five years, I'll keep this review to the building. Over a 5-year span, I never had any major problems with appliances or anything needing to be repaired -- two or three requests the entire time in my unit; one for the stove, one for the fridge, and that was early on when I moved in. This area is a "gem" in the fact that you're so close to the Lakes (perfect in the summertime), but if you want to do something in Uptown, you're just a few blocks away. On top of that, you're walking distance from Lunds, Cub, Kowalski's, CVS, and Target, so this is a very pedestrian-friendly spot; a car is DEFINITELY not needed. I never had one my entire time as Minneapolis is transit-friendly and easy to walk in Uptown. The laundry room is in the basement, and they turned it into a workout room as well, so if you want to work out in the winter, you're set. I loved living here while I was in Minneapolis, and I'm sure you will as well.

I just moved in and the whole team was so awesome! The apartment is quiet and the neighbors seem pretty chill. Rory the caretaker is so kind and helpful and just deeply appreciated! He went above and beyond after my move in and is very responsive, professional and helpful! Lenore was really kind and patient and helpful during move in as well. I’m very excited to live in this building.
