I lived here 2014-16 and throughout that time I saw LOTS of improvements in the property and the quality of service. Great community in a great town.

If you're considering renting here and plan to visit, insist upon visiting in the evening or on a weekend, outside of working hours to get a realistic expectation of what your noise situation will be like. It wouldn't be such an issue if these old units had any sort of sound insulation whatsoever, but they were built in 1973 and don't appear to have undergone any substantial renovation since then, so you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do, every footstep, every crying toddler, every game the neighborhood kids play, every patio conversation conducted next door at perfectly reasonable speaking volume. That's the most frustrating part... no one really does anything to warrant a noise complaint or even a conversation between neighbors about volume control, but the problem remains prevalent. The management and facilities staff are all nice and competent enough, and the rent rate is extremely competitive considering how ridiculous Front Range renting is getting, but you can feel the complex's age every day. You're paying for location here, paying to live in a community as great as Castle Rock. You're certainly not paying for your unit.
