I really would like to give a zero, not just for the place itself, but for the customer service from management in Chattanooga. I moved in these apartments on 09/30/2020, but let me start from the very beginning. Chattanooga Housing Navigator at the time found this place for me. I had to get out of the previous place I live because it was unlivable. Health hazard. When I came to Crestview, Ms. Knight, landlord at the time, took my paperwork, and security deposit was made, but before I did that I ask her can I see and she stated it wasn't ready and that it would be ready for inspection on 09/26/2019 and that I could move in that Friday. Well, at the time inspector couldn't come that day. So when inspection finally happen I didn't here from him. I called landlord and she stated place would be ready at 10:00am and then 12pm on 09/30/2019. By this time my moving crew was ready to move me that morning but due to the landlord changing time, it put a damper in their work schedule. At 12pm I was driving towards Redbank and let landlord know I was on my way and she stated place wasn't ready. I was so upset. Then the Landlord told me to come on anyways and that I can bring the things I had and sit it in a space that was not occupied with stuff. The maintenance guy at the time, and his girlfriend was still working on place. Then the person who stayed in this apartment before me, apparently moved to another unit across from my apartment and was standing all in my doorway talking to maintenance guy, as I was trying to get situated in my place. He really invaded my privacy, he didn't have the decency to excuse himself. Rude The landlord then stated she would take a $100 off my rent to compensate the situation, but it should have been more due to how everything went down. The first two weeks I was trying to get settled in, it was quite at the time, but things still needed fixed in my apartment. After that new neighbors moved in, and instantly I smelled marijuana. Remind you, my son and I have asthma and I have sleep apena, and I have been coughing badly every since then. I spoke with neighbor and landlord about this but nothing resolved on their end. I even ask landlord If I can move into another unit and she said no. I have spent over $120 in all kind of smell good fresheners, sprays, oil lamps to keep the stank marijuana smell out my apartment. Then my rug got stolen, off my porch, then my parking space started being taking up, forcing me to park 3 apartments down in there parking space. On October 9, 2019, I put in a maintenance request on Meridian Management website for things that needed fix in my apartment. No one ever came to do anything, so I gave it sometime and put in another maintenance request October 19, 2019, then November 9, 2019, and then as soon as I file a complaint with CHA Housing Housing Choice Voucher in December 2019, of things that needed fix, I received an email from landlord that they been trying to get into fix my apartment but don't have a key. (really) now why they don't have a key. Excuses, anyway, I bought a key and gave it to landlord January 15, 2020. The inspector guy stated landlord wasn't able to get things done because they don't have a key for my apartment, after I bought one and gave it to them. So the second week of February the new maintenance man finally came, he didn't fixed he patched up things. So when it fail apart he tried to blame my son and I. During this time, I am still having a hard time breathing in my apart do to neighbors smoke. It comes through my vent, downstairs bathroom. I had to go to the hospital and miss work because of it. Pics of holes in walls & floors, ac unit nasty, bugs coming into my apt, in which I had to get rid my couch becuz ants from outside dishwasher don't work, walls are thin, you hear every sound and feel every bump from both neighbors house. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The new landlord does not fully communicate and the maintenance was rude to me. Thank God I found a better place. I have more but it says I exceed my writing.
