I recently had the pleasure of delivering furniture to a new move-in at Gables Old Town North, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The leasing agent Nora’s warm and accommodating demeanor stood out which is my I am making this review. Her friendly approach made the delivery process seamless. My lease isn’t up where I am but I’m already planning to apply here when it is.

Nora is simply fantastic. Whenever I have had any request, she has immediately responded and taken care of it (and without me having to worry about checking back in to follow up)...she gets it done, and done right, immediately. Thank you, Nora, for all that you do for us here at Gables Old Town North!!

We have been at this Gables OTN for more than two years. We are happy with Kelly the building superintendent who is very responsive to our service requests. He put in long hours to “keep the lights on”. Nora in the leasing office has always been helpful and attentive to our needs. She definitely earned her recent promotion.

Here's an update to the below review. It's been almost 3 weeks since I moved in, and I'm sooooo happy with my decision. I've never lived in a place where management actually helps to solve problems and provides possible solutions to things instead of making me fight for something because of my sensitivities. It's amazing. And their answers were so simple and implemented with ease. IMHO, Nora should be training all people throughout the country on how to actually treat tenants and create a warm living environment. But selfishly I wouldn't want her to leave here.... Ricky is a pleasure too - I haven't had as much interaction with him, but he's always smiling, has great energy, and the most stylish dresser I've seen in awhile;) And Kelly - he is the building engineer (I think that's his title). He has been with the building since it was built. He can answer any question about the apartments and is super responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. When I first moved in, I didn't have hot water. Made a request online (it was a Sunday, btw) and within minutes he called and issue was resolved in seconds. I have submitted a couple other minor requests, and everything has been addressed right away with perfect execution. Thanks for actually caring about people... and while the obvious goal of any company is profit, that's not what is portrayed to the tenants. Such a rarity these days. And if you're reading this and think I give good reviews often, think again. My standards are exceptionally high and the team here has easily exceeded them. Thank you Nora, Ricky, and Kelly. xoxo
I cannot say enough good things about Nora - the head leasing agent / property manager at the Gables. Granted, I haven't lived there yet (move in today), but Nora is an absolute God-Send.
Moving can be very stressful and it can be difficult finding a new place to live in the area.... seems most apartment buildings require an appointment. I find that constrictive and uptight - I was turned away from places where I was ready to sign b/c the leasing agent was doing paperwork but had no appointments. All I wanted was to see a unit for 5 minutes and was happy to wait, but was turned away. But that was a blessing in disguise b/c I found the Gables. Nora was so patient with me in the process, and that says a lot because I was not an easy customer. She's the perfect amount of professional combined with the seemingly rare qualities of kindness and caring for others. I'm super sensitive to environmental factors (air quality, pesticides/insecticides, water) and she answered all my questions and put me at ease. She was patient with me while I came back and asked for a second look at different apartments. She was kind when I changed my mind and switched from a studio to a 1BR after already submitting an application for the studio. Cannot say enough good things about this angel of a woman. The energy of the building seems super positive. The amenities are beautiful. Building looks immaculate. And so many dogs - that will be another favorite part:) Anyways, this is a shot out to Nora! I can only hope my experience living at the Gables is half as good as my experience with Nora - if so, I'll be beyond happy.

Leasing- Keke was phenomenal! Never was a sales pitch, but answered questions and took time to find the perfect apartment for our needs.
Amenities- Well taken care of, great gym, phenomenal pool area, awesome movie/sports room—common areas rock!
Maintenance- response times less than 24hrs; things completed above satisfaction
Location- Great spot in Old Town—-great commercial shopping and restaurants, 1.5 blocks to the water!
Apartment- See my photos, higher end appliances, no sound issues, let my photos speak for themselves!

Ricki Wilson, the manager, is amazing. He has made a huge difference in the quality of customer service from other staff. He is extremely professional and personable. Prior to his arrival, I would not have recommended Gables to anyone.
We've lived at the Gables for 4 years, moved in during covid, and are here to stay. It's location in Old Town North gives us a wonderful walkable neighborhood - all the services that you need, lots of restaurants, and even two hotels for visitors. And only two blocks from all the parks along the river. The building has many great amenities - in addition to the gorgeous pool and "lawn" area on the 2nd floor roof there are 3 other outside decks for different times of the day, a cinema room, library, computer work area, two living rooms and a bar / game / party room. We even held our civil wedding ceremony here. The maintenance staff led by Kelly are superb - they are super responsive, helpful and diligent. The office staff has always been extremely knowledgable and helpful. Ricki is a friendly and helpful manager and Nora has always been super efficient and communicative., you'll frequently see them around the building. The best change is that the concierge has been moved to the 1st floor, which makes more sense for security and assistance, and matches most other apartment buildings. The apartments are sound isolated from adjoining units and the hallway. Do we hear noise from the floor above? Yes but it's not a big deal and certainly not constant, the pluses far outweigh any temporary inconveniences. It's a high end building with location and amenities to match.

We have rented here for a temporary few years between moving and buying elsewhere. Love this building, cute clean gym, great relaxing pool area in Summer, and our unit couldn’t be cozier. The newest Management is wonderful, Norah is always attentive, friendly, and responds quickly making the environment very welcoming. Concierge Nikki is just as helpful and positive. Charming location in Old Town and convenient access to King Street, DCA and an easy drive to Washington DC. Overall we have had a great experience here!
