(RLNE1168492) The unit is in need of some serious clean up the previous tenants pretty much trashed the place. Willing to negotiate/waive the security deposit if you are willing to help get the home ready. Lets be clear this is a basement duplex/apartment NOT the entire home. The upstairs unit is spoken for. The unit is a one bedroom, with private entrance, there's a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. It's about a mile from downtown Lawrence, 5 minutes or so from I-94, and 15-20 minutes from Kalamazoo. This is a NO SMOKING unit (vapor cigs ok). However you are welcome to smoke outside. Pets are negotiable and on a case by case basis. They must be UTD and registered you will be asked for proof of current rabies and flea treatments. There is an additional one time $50 fee per pet (non-refundable). Rent is: $400 (includes electric, heat, and water) $50 extra for laundry facilities and wifi Security Deposit/Cleaning Fee (non-refundable): $250 but is negotiable and can be waived depending on how much you are willing to put forth in the clean up. Our family (who will be living in the upstairs unit): My boyfriend and I both work full-time and I go to school full-time. We have two rambunctious young children, and two small dogs (5-6lbs). I don't smoke but occasionally drink. He smokes a vapor cigarette and rarely drinks. We both swear, have tattoos, and piercings. We are open and honest folks and expect the same in return. Please also take into consideration that we are not religious as this plays a factor for many people. You must be willing to submit to a Child Protective Service and Federal background check Felonies will not disqualify you but lying about them will! ABSOLUTELY NO PROBATION OR PAROLEES! Please be prepared to meet in person with proof of income and valid identification. You will have the opportunity to fill out an application, though there is no fee for the application if you are chosen you will be responsible for the $15 background checks.
