Hi there! I’m Ellen. I own a 2000+ square foot townhouse in Olde Towne Villas in Shadowmoss. My townhouse is at the end of the lane, right on the golf course. It’s quiet and peaceful, with lots of morning birdsong and evening frog jamborees. The views out every window are of trees and greenery. That’s my favorite aspect of my home—so much nature yet close enough to downtown, the beaches, the airport, etc. There’s a good sized gated patio off with plenty of space for a container garden. There are 2 dedicated parking spaces for my home just outside the patio gate. Downstairs is a large family room, galley kitchen with lots of pantry shelves, laundry closet, dining room, and full bathroom with a stall shower. The 3 bedrooms and two remaining bathrooms are upstairs. I’m renting out my huge second floor “primary suite”. It has a queen size bed, a tall dresser, lots of book shelves, a desk and comfortable chair, an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, a large walk in closet, and a private balcony that overlooks the golf course. This room has been my bedroom and office for the past 8 years. I’ve lived here for 10 years with my daughter, who is now a junior in college. We’ve experienced a lot these past ten years. Some wonderful times that are treasured memories, other times that are memorable for what we endured and succeeded. Our house is not fancy, and our furnishings are definitely lived in, but underneath all that, this is our home and it’s been a place of love and healing and respite from daily routines and stresses. As a 5-year breast cancer survivor, single mother with an empty nest, and someone with a lifelong love and thirst for knowledge, I recently decided I had to do SOMETHING, and a change of scenery would be wonderful! So in September I’m off to study a Masters level crash course in Psychology at The University of Stirling in Scotland for the next year.
