Comfortable, spacious, brick historic 1937 home updated with modern amenities. Excellent work-from-home ability (Xfinity fiber) and vibrant office space. Layout is great for country hosting/entertaining. The finished bonus room upstairs is wonderful for a play area, or game room. The basement is set up for laundry and furnished with washer & dryer. Hardwood floors throughout the house with typical wear from being older. Area rugs make it cozy. New bathroom off the man downstairs bedroom and the kitchen are vinyl laminate. Working fireplace. Modern kitchen and updated bathrooms. Right off of HWY 15 but set back a short distance. Spacious yard and outbuildings (if you’re thinking chickens or other livestock. 400 feet of goat fence still setup in the small wooded portion of the 2 acres. One neighbor next door is also a renter, and the closest neighbors are 1/4 mile up the road. 400 acres of woods surrounding. Buckingham County Middle and High School district. Dillwyn is 8 mins south with Food Lion, public library, a couple of local restaurants and your typical banks, automobile care, and various stores, churches, Centra and other establishments. There is a 1/2-mile walking/running track a few miles north near the health center. A lot of Amish establishments like Townsedge southeast of Dillwyn with a lot of local resources. Safe, country living at its finest! Home is centrally located an hour west of Richmond, hour south of Charlottesville, and hour east of Lynchburg. Closest airport is LYH at one hour, and RIC at 1 hour and twenty minutes. Farmville has the closest Walmart and is 30 mins south on HWY 15. NOTE: we have contractor finishing some wood trim on the new kitchen and a few touch up paint projects along with some plumbing updates in the basement and outside painting and addition of flood light. Home is beautiful and very livable as is. Homeowner will communicate any scheduled work with renter. Also, our local landscaper can continue on the lawn care for you if you like. It’s $95 and we typically have him cut/trim every other week during the spring/summer. Welcome to find your own. It’s a 2 acre lawn/woods. Also, expect a week of outside noise in the spring/fall getting trees, bushes, and gardens tidy/winterized. There are two open garage bays that are paved, but detached from house. The back of garage is closed off and property of the owner with home maintenance tools and materials. Utilities: Owner pays for water. Utilities to be paid by renter ($300 average monthly for Dominion Energy and $75 average for Comcast internet. County dump 3/4 miles away and $25 annual sticker. Tiger Fuel for propane is approx $300 annually). Indoor, trained pets allowed with non-refundable pet deposit. Non-smoking home. First month's rent due at signing with security deposit.
