SUBLEASE FROM FEB 1-JUNE 31 (5 months) Email to schedule walk through if you cannot attend open house. Room in 2BR apartment in Bloomingdale area. Top two floors of house. Completely remodeled in 2006. 1 block from Big Bear Cafe. Rustik Tavern 3 blocks away. Great access to 1-395 and a straight shot to the Capitol/Mall. 9 blocks to U St area. H St 5 blocks away My friend and I have lived in this apartment since September 1 2011. It is a great place on a quiet neighborhood with access to metro and buses. A block away from Truxton Circle Farmer's market and walking distance to City Vista Safeway. I work to and from work in Chinatown everyday. Our first floor is actually on the third floor of a four floor rowhouse. It has its own entrance on the front and a spiral staircase on the back. It was completely renovated in 2006 and the top floor, where our bedrooms are, was added. The entire apartment, including bathrooms, was painted when we moved in so it is very bright and clean. -bamboo hardwood floors throughout, including bedrooms -exposed brick wall on entrance -1/2 bath downstairs with new toilet, vanity, sink -stainless steel appliances (gas stove, microwave, ice maker, dish washer) -kitchen already has all cooking necessities and is stocked with spices etc -can lighting throughout -washer/dryer -separate hot water heater for our apartment -large bay windows in den -10ft ceilings -gas fireplace -YOUR bedroom is large and has a closet. Also two large windows with blinds. -Jacuzzi tub/shower upstairs in between bedrooms -tile walled shower -tile floors in bathroom -balcony with GREAT view or Capitol and Washington Monument -UTILITIES ARE INCLUDED (means you write one check ($1175) for rent, power, water, cable, internet) -Cable includes HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz -Common area is furnished downstairs with comfortable furniture and 3D Plasma TV ....I can keep going on... This is a great place that we found with a stroke of luck. We had looked through countless houses, "english" basements, apartments, before we found this one and it is the real deal. Gives you space to stretch out but also a nice private room. 15 minute walk to the Capitol, in between New York Ave (Red line) and Shaw (Green and yellow line) making it very accessible, also lots of buses around which I ride everyday (80, P6, G2, 90, 92 etc), parking on road also. This would be great for a Hill staffer or young professional. My roommate is a 24 year old from South Carolina, plays soccer on the weekends, likes to go out on the weekends, takes it easy on the weeknights clean, currently works at a law firm and is applying to law school. MOVE IN DATE FEB 1. DEPOSIT IS $1175. NO PETS. SUBLET THROUGH JUNE 31 WITH OPTION TO CONTINUE PAST THAT. BEDROOM NOT FURNISHED BUT REST OF APARTMENT IS. Please email me with some information about yourself...are you interning on the hill? working in DC? what do you do on the weekends? where are you from? plans for the future? Tell me about yourself...
