I'm looking for a roommate for a one-year lease starting June 1 for a cozy, bright room (105 sq ft) in a second floor Mt. Vernon apartment, a few blocks away from the Peabody Library, Washington Monument and Hopkins shuttle. It's a wonderful neighborhood, centrally located, with easy access both to Penn Station, UB, MICA, JHU, as well as downtown / Inner Harbor etc.; there's a nice park, plenty of restaurants, bars, shopping, music venues, etc.. The light-rail stops two blocks away and will take you to BWI for $2.50. I love living here! I'm a graduate of JHU (MFA Writing Seminars), a poet and translator finishing a book for Penguin; tennis player, gym-goer, enjoyer of good food and drink, user of FocusMate, who works evenings downtown and otherwise leads a clean, quiet existence among my many books. The apartment is 2-bed 1-bath (750-800 sq ft) with fully equipped kitchen (fridge, dishwasher, gas oven, garbage disposal, vitamix, fancy water-filter, etc.) and a spacious living room, fully furnished; there's a washer-dryer and extra storage in the basement. Utilities / wifi about $60ish a month. The landlords are great and very responsive.
