And the roof deck -- which sort of serves as the 4th floor of the house -- has a 6-person hot tub with a view of the monuments and the National Cathedral. Wow! The house is 1 block from a dozen bars and restaurants, and 4 blocks from busy 14th Street with the Target shopping mall and the Columbia Heights metro stop. (It takes only 7 minutes to walk from the house to the metro stop.) All that said, the house is in a quiet location, in part because it sits on a one-way street with a dog park across the street. (There is a separate basement apartment that isn't described in this online listing. It has its own front door; the basement unit has no access to the large upstairs apartment that's available to rent; and the basement has tenants who are present only 25% of the time. Very quiet.)
