With recent changes happening throughout the country in response to COVID-19, remote and virtual services are becoming more important than ever. Many companies have instituted remote work policies and local communities have prohibited large public gatherings, making “social distancing” relevant for all types of businesses. For the multifamily industry, this may equate to fewer in-person tour requests and a slowdown in signed leases.
It’s time to start thinking about the future.
Zumper is proud to lead the way by enabling 3D and virtual tour platforms. These integrations, along with new product initiatives, allow you to continue to reach renters, offer apartment tours, and maintain communication throughout the rental process regardless of what changes may take place in the coming weeks, months, and years. Here’s how our newest features can help you during this unique transition period and give you the capability to continue converting prospective renters to residents.
Multimedia Tours on Zumper
Zumper seamlessly integrates with platforms that support both video and 3D tours. Videos, virtual tours, and panoramas on LCP360, a Panoskin virtual tour provider, are automatically uploaded into all Zumper listings. Not an LCP360 customer? They’re offering Zumper users a discount of up to 25% off their products.
Zumper also supports videos via YouTube and Vimeo and 3D tours via Matterport and Xspaced. Properties simply need to provide a link for their videos and 3D tours hosted by one of the above partners and it will be embedded on a listing detail page. These options give prospective renters the opportunity to get a real feel for your community without having to visit it in person.
Online Virtual Tour Prompts

In response to the current environment, Zumper has added language in listing pages prompting renters to ask about virtual tour options. This Virtual Tour Prompt will encourage prospective renters to request a tour via FaceTime or another similar tool or notify them that your property already accommodates live online tours.
New Badging

With Zumper, renters are able to filter specifically for apartments that offer online tours. Properties advertising on Zumper can now add an Online Tours badge when they confirm they support live online tours as part of standard operating procedures. If your property is already using live online tours, the badge will show prospective renters they can ask to schedule one virtually, removing the roadblock of an in-person tour.
Looking Toward the Future

Zumper is leading the way with these new features and preparing for the future of the multifamily industry. With virtual and remote services becoming more essential in the current climate, adapting to the changes is vital to ensuring your community’s success.
