Rental Tour Requests on Zumper

What’s new: Renters can now request rental tours on all Zumper listings. In addition to “Check availability” and “Apply now” renters will now see “Tour this place” as an optional next step for them in the rental process.

Zumper makes tour scheduling and communication easy: Zumper has made it easier than ever to follow up with renters requesting tours by asking them to provide up to three tour time slots as part of their request.

You’ll receive an email with the tour request and the renter’s availability. All you have to do is confirm a time that works for you or suggest a different time. Once confirmed, we’ll automatically send reminder emails and follow-up emails leading up to the tour.

Fast follow-ups – Tour requests means more leases, faster. Renters who request tours are statistically more likely to lease than renters sending generic inquiries. Requesting a tour expresses increased intent on the part of the renter and because of this, it benefits landlords, agents, and property managers to be particularly proactive when following up.
Give personal outreach – When renters request tours, they also provide additional info including how they prefer to be contacted, the type of property that they are searching for, and their move-in-ready date. This is all information that enables you to craft a personal response and give potential renters a positive first impression before even walking onto the property.
Fast follow-up post-tour – Zumper will automatically send you a message after the scheduled tour to remind you to follow-up with the prospective renter. Continuing communication with the renter even after the tour can give a great impression that the property is responsive, and may even play a part in their leasing decision.
