What happened to automated Q&As on Google Business Profile?
In November 2025, Google removed the ability to automatically update Q&As on all Google Business Profiles (GBPs), across industries. This change affects any business or marketing partner that uses automation to keep their Q&As current.
While automated additions, updates, or removals through partner integrations are no longer available, property management companies (PMCs) can still:
- Manually add new questions to your GBP
- Reply to renter-submitted questions directly in your dashboard
- Edit or remove existing Q&As as needed
How does this affect properties using third-party partners and integrations?
While each partner is different, communities using Zumper’s Amplify for GBP can expect:
- Your existing Q&As will remain visible within your Google Business Profile.
- Those Q&As will no longer refresh automatically with updated information.
- New or revised questions must be added manually through Google.
- Pricing-related answers will now include a timestamp disclaimer showing that the rates reflect a specific date to ensure compliance with Google’s accuracy and transparency standards.

No. Your existing Q&As will stay on your profile. They simply won’t update automatically anymore.
Can I still add or edit questions manually?
Yes. Property managers can log into their Google Business Profile dashboard at any time to add, edit, or remove Q&As.
What if I use Zumper’s Amplify for GBP?
Your Q&As will stay live, but new ones must be added manually. Existing Q&As around pricing will remain live, with a new disclaimer specifying the pricing and/or fees listed are “as of (date).” Zumper will continue to review Google’s policy changes to help you maintain accuracy and visibility.
