I am looking for someone to take over my lease starting August 1st as I will be leaving Montreal. The lease will end June 30th, 2026 with an option to renew. I am very sad to be leaving this apartment, because it is such a gem! I have included the original listing photos from before I moved in, and photos of it now with my furniture. Here is everything I love about it: - VERY QUIET apartment and residential neighbourhood. Seriously, you can’t hear the neighbors, street traffic, or anything. It is very peaceful, and suitable for someone who values this. - 2 min walk from the Lachine canal. Perfect in the summertime for biking! You can get to Griffintown/Old Port within 20-30 minutes of biking, or if you go the other way, to park Rene-Levesque. - 2 min walk from the 36 bus route, which will quickly take you to Monk station (green line) or Place Saint-Henri (orange line) - Newly renovated with freshly laminated floors, bright LED lights, gorgeous countertops, lots of kitchen & bathroom storage - Great kitchen design with a collapsible countertop for more space - Very spacious closed bedroom with a large closet - Direct sunlight in both ends of the apartment, the bedroom gets the light in the morning, the front of the apartment in the afternoon/evening - 15 minute walk from Monk metro station - 2 minute walk from a bixi station - Walking distance of IGA, Maxi, depanneurs, pharmacies, cafés, restaurants, etc… - 5 minute drive from Carrefour Angrignon, where there is Walmart, Maxi, Cineplex, and a large mall of literally everything you could need - 15-20 minute bike ride to Parc Angrignon, or to Verdun where you can walk by the river - A great, secured and fenced backyard. Technically the yard is shared, but in the last year I have been the only one to use it. - I love living on the ground level because I never have to carry groceries or garbage up and down stairs - Bathroom with a bathtub - Cat-friendly (indoor cats only!) Here is what we are looking for in the assignee: - Priority will be given to someone willing to purchase all 4 appliances (fridge, stove, washer, dryer) for $1200, and willing to purchase some (or all) of my furniture. I am also happy to sell you small kitchen appliances, artwork, plants, and anything else you might need at a very good price. - Quiet and respectful. The landlord lives upstairs, and I have never had a problem with him, he is very polite. - Non-smoking, no cannabis - Suitable credit score, proof of income and references - The space is better suited for a single person rather than a couple.
