When I first moved in, my initial review was not so flattering. There were some issues that have since been corrected to my satisfaction. The apartment is roomy and comfortable, with a nice wide deck overlooking a lake complete with abundant wildlife. Management is very responsive to concerns/complaints/maintenance. Staff is always helpful and kind. That is very much appreciated. I have truly enjoyed being here. The location is so convenient to everything.

I have been living in the loft unit at swallowtail flats for over 6 yrs, the best place in Columbus. I will not leave, everything is so convenient, the people are very friendly, love the atmosphere. The amenities they have are top notch. Will recommend to anyone looking for a great lifestyle.

My family and I have been lucky enough to call Swallowtail flats home for the past few months. As a military family going through transitions can be stressful, as can looking for the perfect place in a great location. Swallowtail flats checked all our boxes and the leasing office staff has been very accommodating. We have truly felt almost like a second family. Very dog friendly, kid friendly, relaxing environment. They also offer free Starbucks coffee-need I say more? Very beautiful well kept property. Maintenance has also been great! Any issues we have had are addressed very quickly. Excellent place to call home whether it's short-term or long-term.

My wife and I lived here for one year (June '19 to '20), and it was by far our best apartment living experience to date. The staff are incredibly friendly, flexible, and quick to respond to resident requests. The amenities are generous and well-maintained, the package service is quick and convenient, and management is eager to help and never manufactures reasons to nickel-and-dime you.
Our apartment itself was beautiful, and although we might have heard a thump or two from upstairs every once in a rare while, there wasn't a peep through the walls from the adjacent apartments-- making them the quietest units we've ever lived in.
As for location, Old Town is situated perfectly for convenience while still feeling removed from any traffic or bustle. Overall, we could not have been happier with our home. Highly recommended! (P.S. Our dog loved it too!)

I lived here for about a year and it was the most pleasant apartment living experience I have had. I move around a lot for work and apartments are a reality I have to deal with in conjunction with my career. Honestly, I am not a big fan of living in apartment complexes. However, swallowtail flats is the exception to that observation. The grounds are always clean and the community here is more akin to living in a small town where everyone is always polite in passing. It really felt like home. Also, the community officer is one of the most courteous and professional police officers I have ever come across. I would always see him doing his due diligence regarding the safe guarding of the office and property after hours. I can't thank him enough for his extra work.
Last but not least, the staff here is what makes this place standout from the rest and garnered a 5 star rating from me. They are the most dedicated housing professionals I have ever leased from, and they take their job and customer service seriously. They have gone above and beyond my expectations in the last year, specifically Jasmine. The rent may be a little higher than other residences, but the staff makes any perceived higher rent worth every penny.

This is a great place to live. I moved in thinking it would be temporary as I had downsized and would be looking for a smaller home. I had to join a wait list but so glad I did. I have been here 3 years and am signing my lease renewal for another year. It is not a typical apartment complex but rather a community with flats, lofts, homes, townhomes and businesses.
It is luxury living. The grounds and structures are immaculate, maintenance and improvements are constantly taking place. Valerie, the property manager is excellent at overseeing the projects and improvements and she and her staff make the residents feel appreciated and cared for. Maintenance requests are handled promptly.
It is a quiet, safe environment with residents that respect each other, no loud music, loud voices, loud televisions or loud vehicles.
This is luxury living with peace of mind!

I have lived at Swallowtail Flats for over a year now and it is hands down the best place to call home in Columbus. What sets it apart more than anything else, hands down, is the staff. Every single person is always professional and courteous, however this review is specifically for Claire and Noah who went way out of their way to help with a situation they were in no way obligated to do so.
Long story short, I had a rather large desk delivered, but it was left downstairs, rather than at my actual door as it should have been. I called Claire at 4:30 in the afternoon, on a day that was easily 100+ degrees and asked if there was a hand truck the property could loan me while I gathered up friends to help me move this large, very heavy piece up the stairs and into my actual apartment. Claire immediately said she would call Noah and they would help. Within 5 minutes Noah showed up and got the furniture upstairs and into my apartment by himself.
Most places would have maybe loaned a hand truck at max, but Claire and Noah went above and beyond to help me with something that in no way falls under their responsibilities and did so with such great attitudes and kindness.
If you’re considering swallowtail flats, I cannot recommend it enough!
