The leasing and maintenance team at Prairie Hill apartments are great. I let them know that I was looking to get a place within the month and the maintenance team made it happen. Charli, in charge of leasing, answered every single question I could possibly think of. She was super friendly and professional the whole move in process. Very happy with the apartment and management

My husband and I needed to move to Decatur in Summer 2017. We looked at many homes for rent and even other apartment complexes in town. As soon as we were able to see the townhouse in at Prairie Hills, we were sold and we signed the contract that day. Our favorite selling points? The complex is animal friendly for our dog, there is an in house-laundry unit (not available in all units, but is in most!), and the accessibility to such a great part of town! When we moved in our apartment was beautiful with clean carpets, fresh paint throughout the whole place, and new appliances! We have had a few freak accidents happen at our apartment and maintenance is always responsive to requests. Our lawn has been consistently well maintained and in the snowy months the sidewalks are taken care of. The property is well lit, which makes me feel very safe while coming home late at night. Neighbors are friendly and quiet - there seems to be a broad range of the age of people living here! We love using the tenant portal online to pay our rent and put in requests. The property managers are very approachable and professional. I appreciate their efforts to build community and I appreciate their clear communications. Lastly, I can tell that Fairlawn cares deeply about this property because of the constant work and time they have put into restoring the property from previous owners. As mentioned, our apartment was updated when we moved in, but also the baseboards on the outside of the apartments needed replacing and Fairlawn just finished that project. I highly recommend anyone come check out these apartments for themselves.
