Compass Pointe Apartments is such a perfect place to call home! My experience has been nothing but wonderful. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. Amenities are amazing. The covered patio is absolutely gorgeous one of my favorite things about this place. You can’t find a better Apartment complex in Valpo! The leasing office is also so welcoming and friendly. Lorrita has really went above and beyond my expectations with the whole process. She answered all of my questions and was very informative, touring with her was so much fun! She took the time to learn what I was looking for in an apartment and things I didn’t like, she helped me find the perfect place. Definitely the best experience i’ve ever had!!

I just renewed my lease here for a second term. I could not be happier with the home I have built here! Since I renewed my lease I asked—out of curiosity— if I could get some updated appliances, as mine were old. Honestly, I expected the answer to be “no.” But the property manager came to my apartment and talked to me about it, saying “we want you to be happy!” Within a week I had a brand new dishwasher & oven installed. I’ve never seen a more clean apartment complex! Every week they have a cleaning service clean the entry areas/hallways. Even when I originally moved in, my unit itself was spotless. Maintenance has been great. I’ve had them plaster and paint an area on my wall where a nail was pushing through, had my old oven fixed, my screened in patio repaired, and new appliances installed. I do wish they were better at following scheduled times as I work night shift and am often sleeping during the day. Walkability is amazing. If you’re into walking/running the sidewalks around the neighborhood loop around a few ponds & fountains that make for a nice view. My rent did increase for my second lease, which does make this kind of living non-sustainable for a long future here, but thankfully it wasn’t a terrible increase & I can remain here for the time being. Amenities here are great. As a resident of compass point, you have access to the new Windridge Village pool/splash pad and studio gym as well as the gym & pool at compass point. I will say, the gym at compass point needs some serious updating— it was for this reason I got a YMCA membership. But I think if the Windridge studio got some new treadmills/bike/eliptical & more weights that would be better. I would like to see the entire club house of compass pointe updated- it does seem kind of dated & musty in there. Other improvements/ideas: Use better shower heads in the bathrooms Install new carpet every time someone moves out - I found mine was matted in the high traffic areas heat the pool (by the time it was tolerable to swim in temperature wise, it was a week away from closing) Paint the pool fence at compass black Update to a key fob system for main entry ways (bringing in groceries is hard when you have to use a key to unlock the door every time) Have outgoing mail at the resident mail boxes, not just in the front office.
