(I wrote this review in late 2022 but Google took it down for some reason) This is hands down the worse apartment I've spent more than 5 minutes in. Save yourself the horror of enduring a 6 month lease here and keep looking. The building has a neat, historic exterior but the inside is God-forsaken. The first floor smells overbearingly pungent, not that the other levels smell great. I think this is an odor that's coming from some ancient building material inside the walls. This smell gets really strong on hot days. The interior layout appears to have been designed by someone with schizophrenia. I know the building was repurposed but it was awful like you wouldn't believe it. My apartment had the oddest layout ever. Furthermore, the building's interior, including my unit, were about 65 years out of date with the worst interior finishing that I've scene in an apartment. My unit had 4 flooring materials, all of which had A1DZ. And, the sole appliance, a stove, appeared to have been made prior to the Vietnam War and didn't work very well at all. When I moved in, the two faucets I had didn't have aerators which caused them to splatter the building's scalely water supply all around the floor in front of the sink. I suppose the prior resident (probably a lvl. 9 crackhead) must have really needed them and the property management company didn't see them as important. The windows appeared to be original to the building and thus where barely working and leaked air like a flat tire. Luckily, there were broken storm windows in front of these already barely working single-hung windows so no real problem there... I guess... Somehow... Oh, one last thing that I feel like mentioning and that I wished I still had the photo of was the blinds. They were installed by someone who probably eats crayons. So, on all the windows were vinyl venetian blinds that did very little blinding because they were too short for the window frames and were installed onto a unfinished 1x4 wood board that left about a 4” gap at the top for light to make it through. Lastly, the unit across from mine smelled like sweaty balls sometimes, but I digress. Oh, I also got conned by the contract cleaner guy named Dallas Terry when I had moved out. Total BS situation. There were other awesome things about this apartment but I'm getting tired of writing now. If you are really into haunted, Resident Evil type places to call home then maybe this is your place. But for the rest of you, I highly suggest to pass this place up.
