East Mountain Apartments...a great place to call home! We are conveniently located near I-81 and the NE Extension of the PA Turnpike. Our spacious patios and balconies offer a spectacular view of the Wyoming Valley below or well landscaped surroundings and the hills beyond. Each apartment provides room areas and closet space comparable to a suburban home and features a fully equipped modern kitchen, washer/dryer, air conditioning and natural gas for heating and hot water. All of our 3rd floor apartments have cathedral ceilings. Our community offers residents a playground and picnic area, tennis and basketball courts and a state of the art fitness center for sports enthusiasts. We have a swim club with a heated sports pool and hot spa for those who love to swim laps or just want to relax. Our community building features a stocked kitchen, big screen TV and stereo system for private entertaining by residents or to host community social events.

The staff at East Mountain were amazing. We were only there for 3 months, but enjoyed every moment. The apartment and community were quite, well maintained and close to everything that Wilkes Barre has to offer.

There aren't too many apartment complexes in the area. That fact doesn't stop East Mountain from offering and providing their best. Some of the apartments have been updated and I rented one of those. The appliances, cabinets, bathroom (shower) were all nice. Do they have occasional issues? Yes. But maintenance (Dave in particular) and management (Rochelle and Amanda) are pretty quick to address and help. For instance, the water came out brown, and I had a new water tank within hours. Water pressure is good, walls aren't thin, the neighborhood is quiet to me but I am used to the sound of traffic/cars. They have a small fitness center, pool, tennis court, and bark park. There's plenty of space to walk within the complex as well. They are dog friendly. I will mention to be careful of ticks during tick season. There are 2 entrances to the property: one off of 115 (right before it becomes cross valley) and bear creek (rd leading to Geisinger Wyoming Valley). I've felt safe living here and my neighbors were all so amazing. They recently put in bumps to slow down cars driving thru to get to the hospital. They do a good job of clearing the snow and I think the entrance off of 115 is slightly safer if you're heading into Wilkes Barre proper. I've read through the lease and recommend that if you have any questions discuss with management as their corporate boilerplate contract had some clauses/language I had to clarify. Otherwise, management offers monthly newsletters and community events and have been very helpful. They use PPL, UGI, and Xfinity for utility services.
