Super close to campus, and a bus takes you right to campus if you don't want to walk! Cheap compared to other off-campus housing. The staff is super helpful and understanding with anything that you need! Very spacious especially the shared rooms are not too crowded at all. Overall I would definitely recommend Alpine Flats!

At first I was a little hesitant to stay at Alpine Flats due to the multiple one star reviews, but I was proven wrong. I had previously dealt with the old owner (who was not fit for the job to say the least) and things were looking down as to how my experience was going to be. At the last minute before I had signed my lease management changed and was more than delightful. I have nothing but good to say about them, this place has had a rough past but management's effort on making the place feel like home was great. They were always there in the office to answer any questions, they even offered to put me in another apartment for the summer because the previous tenants had left it a little messy. The apartments themselves need a little work, but they are from the 1980's-1990's so you have to give them the benefit of the doubt. The new team has been making efforts and improving the place since day one. The hot tub was up and running and cleaned on a regular basis, I would always see the staff making improvements to the units that were overdue and in my apartment I had no complaints. I would give this place a chance as they are trying their hardest to fix any problems from the past. The effort itself deserves a 5 stars. Give it a chance and as long as Richard is there, you will not be disappointed.

First and foremost, all the bad reviews are from a previous owner, not Richard, the current owner. I participated in the summer housing program with my husband and two girls while waiting on my family housing to open up in August. EVERY interaction with Richard was amazing. I have never met someone so polite and genuinely caring. My apartment was very clean and nice. My girls loved how the rooms were set up. It made them feel like they were college kids for the summer. There is a nice hot tub and game room on site. My kids loved our weekly movie in the theater room. Richard called on several occasions to ask us and the kids if we were up for smores or ice cream. Had I not been moving into my family housing, I would have liked to stay for the whole year. Richard also makes sure that the outside is well maintained and taken care of. He genuinely cares about his tenants and their stay. Thank you Richard and staff for an amazing summer for my family. We are forever thankful and grateful for your generosity and hospitality. I would also like to note after reading other recent reviews, that I was NEVER offered any money or bribed for my review. I don't know about any employees doing such a thing, but, I could never see Richard doing something like that. I just wanted to throw this out there after reading the previous review. I am a local dude with 56 reviews and I take my reviews very seriously. I even waited until I moved out before giving this review so that I could give an honest review of my entire experience.

GUYS THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I know there are a lot of negative reviews about this place but that was before they got new management. The new guy in charge, Richard; is AMAZING! They even let me move in an entire week early! Which was such a blessing for me. The place looked amazing and spotless. Didn’t find a single thing that was dirty. I had a little hole in the wall and some issue with the Wi-Fi. I told the office about it and they had the problem resolved instantly:) The A.C. works great and so does the heater. Definitely worth the money to live here and it’s not even very expensive to live here! The place also comes with a dish washer and free laundry unit! Another great reason to live here. I RECOMMEND APLINE FLATS TO EVERYONE !!

This place was awesome to spend the last two years of college at! Very good social life, along with fun events put on by management. Richard the property manager is awesome to work with and is always looking out for the tenants. The maintenance team is quick to respond to maintenance requests as well. Would definitely recommend this place to friends!!
The apartments are what you would expect for students on a budget, but the general manager is AMAZING! I really didn't want my 19-year-old to live here after reading all the reviews pre-August-2021, but by the time we figured out she was moving to Logan it was literally the last available option--probably because it had such a bad reputation. They hired new management some time before August 2021 (the month my daughter moved in), and I called to vet them and ask about why they had such a terrible reputation before I was willing to sign any contract.
Talking to the new general manager (Richard) was enough to assure me to sign the contract. He gave me his personal number and told me to text or call him any time--and I have. Every time I have reached out to him about anything he has responded quickly and has been incredibly helpful. He has gone far above and beyond any management of any apartment I have ever dealt with in my life (and I have lived in a lot of apartments and rental places from the time I was in undergrad myself 25 years ago).
Today (9/28/23) I called him to talk to him about how a rent payment didn't go through correctly (it appears our bank screwed up, not the apartment complex), and he personally helped my daughter verify through the resident portal on her computer that the bank account she has listed was correct, and he did it after business hours. What apartment manager does that?! I honestly don't know when the man sleeps. And even though OUR bank appears to have screwed up, he reversed the $28 fee for insufficient funds (we showed him that our bank app confirmed we had the money in the account on the first of the month). I have never, ever seen an apartment manager do that.
He honestly did even more to help us out today, but I'm not going to give any more details because I don't want him to get in trouble with the apartment owners in case they read this review.
Again, the apartments are what you would expect for budget student apartments, but Richard told my daughter today to let him know about anything that needs fixing.
It is incredibly annoying that you have to pay extra each month for a parking pass, but it saved us money each month the first year she was there and didn't have a car. BUT BE WARNED(!!!): the company that monitors the parking lot (and is not run by Alpine Flats) is lightning-fast and will boot your vehicle within a few minutes if you don't have a parking pass. They are like sneaky ninjas, unseen but somehow there. My wife got booted within less than 20 minutes while helping unload groceries from the minivan to my daughter's third floor apartment. It's something like $75+ to get that boot off, and Alpine Flats can't do anything about it.
There are only so many parking spaces and passes to go around, so once they are gone, they are gone. If you turn down the chance to buy one when you are moving in, you probably won't get one for the rest of the lease. My daughter told me that on nights that USU has events, the on-street parking close by can be hard to find because Alpine Flats is not very far from USU. And I believe Logan also has a snow ordinance that can get you ticketed if you park on the street when they need to plow. There were times before my daughter got a parking pass that she literally had to park a mile away and walk to her apartment.
It is nice that you can pay a small amount monthly to be able to do unlimited loads of laundry instead of having to pay per load, so that has saved my daughter some money and hassle.
My daughter said the culture of the social scene at the apartments has been great. She hasn't only made friends in her apartment complex, but also in the more expensive apartment complexes neighboring this one.
The resident portal has been easy to use, which has been great for both me and my daughter. And we had such a good experience the first year that my daughter didn't even bother to look for another apartment complex before moving back in this year. Pick this complex, if only for the fantastic general manager.

A coworker and I were in Logan for the SmallSatellite conference happening at the university, and our options of places to stay were pretty slim if we wanted to stay within the government's per diem rate. Luckily we happened to find Alpine Flats, dorm type housing that was more than affordable and within minutes of the university. Alpine Flats is not a hotel, so don't expect all the frills like shampoo and soap or turn down service with a mint on your pillow. You get an apartment type setting with a kitchen, small dining area, living room, bathroom, and 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms. The kitchen has the usual appliances, the dining area has a table and chairs, and the living area has a sofa. There are no cups, plates, or flatware to use, but that really wasn't an issue for us, since we ate out most nights and were at the conference from start to finish. Alpine Flats provided us with clean towels, clean sheets and comforters for the beds, and a shower curtain. Just the basics and really that was all that we needed. The manager, Richard and his team, were all very nice and accommodating. We had to drive up from Salt Lake City and arrived after 6:00pm when the office closes. We called Richard and he came over right away to get us settled in. All said, if you're looking for a five star hotel, this isn't what you want. But if you want a good place to stay with a great location to the university, a great and friendly staff who are willing to work with you on costs and amenities, and just a bed to sleep in, give Alpine Flats a try. I would happily stay there again and am looking forward to next year's conference.

I've lived at Alpine Flats for almost two years. This past year was the best. The property is older but the management team, Jaren, Richard, and Kaytlin are amazing. They really understand how to take care of residents. The maintenance, Connor and Topher are awesome too. I've been very happy and know anyone who lives at Alpine Flats will have a great experience.
