After 4 years I moved out of the Meridian and I into a recently built apartment building. I was sorry I did.
After my lease was up at the "new" place, I ran back to the well constructed and solid concrete building that is basically soundproof. In the 5 years of living here I never saw a roach or mouse. The maintenance staff and front desk staff are top notch, the best and most efficient. You may say, I have found my forever home.
Did i mention the swimming pool on the roof, the beer, wine and food store within the building, the clean and perfect size gym, the Rock Creek Trail for multiple use enjoyment and that it is less than a block from that Strathmore Metro Station.
All together it is the best choice I have made and then re-made since I moved to Maryland 10 years ago.

The Meridian is a great place to live. I enjoy the safety features they include such as key-fob activated doors and elevators as well as they shut the garage doors at night. They also provide a concierge service. They communicate frequently and efficiently about packages, food deliveries and fulfillment of work orders. There is also a lounge available located on the 15th floor and they host community gatherings for holidays and resident appreciation. Definitely a welcoming environment.
Also, It is located in walking distance from the Metro Station at Grosvenor Station which is convenient.

I went to look at a couple of apartments on Tuesday 4/23 and I wanted to point out how helpful Nahain was from the leasing office was. He was so friendly and professional and made sure to follow up regarding further questions. Although I haven't made a final decision on where to lease, the building is very elegant, including the club room and pool on the top floor. Amazing view! Kudos on having an excellent team, including concierge. She was really friendly as well.
We have rented here for 3 years. The views are magnificent. We are on the 15 th floor facing east and north. My balcony is alive with lush flowers that even welcomed a humming bird today. The tall windows keep us relatively in a quiet space. Airy and friendly building. Great clientele and great management team who welcome our feedback. Great neighborhood to walk and enjoy culture at the theater within a quick 10 minute stroll as well as trails thru Beach Drive .And groceries w thin walking distance too. Events held periodically to meet a greet your neighbors and family loves to visit too. Best concierge team around. We love the pleasant music in the lobby welcoming us home.

After living here for a year, my wife and I can say we really enjoyed it. The people at the front desk were always nice and professional, and I appreciated their efforts to notify us when a package arrived. We especially loved the security and the staff for going out of their way to make things shine and sparkle. Unfortunately, we found a new place closer to work. Bye everyone!
I recently moved into the Meridian, and I have to say that it has been a pleasure! The apartment was neat and clean, quiet. Safety is a priority and mostly, the staff and residents are welcoming and happy. The office staff, maintenance and concierge and all affable.
Highly recommend this apartment complex.

We came to just take a look at the building, but took a chance and went in and asked for a tour of available apartments without an appointment. Nadine Melameka greeted us and was happy to speak with us and show us an apartment. We were sold immediately, but decided to wait for an apartment that was coming available in a few months. Nadine was a huge help over the next 2 months, answering all of my questions, explaining the lease and financial requirements, and keeping us on schedule to complete the process. We moved in 5 days ago and could not be happier. The apartment was spotless, freshly painted and beautiful! Thank you Nadine and The Meridian.
I was a resident and I miss the Meridian so much! My family lived at the Meridian for about a year and just moved out of state this summer. THE MERIDIAN IS AN INCREDIBLE PLACE TO LIVE! Let me start by saying that really don't think the 1 star reviews on here are real. IF you want the truth, I encourage you to walk into the management office and meet the nice people that are there. They will show you an amazing apartment and probably even point you to actual residents that you can talk with to verify that this place is amazing and get any answers to questions you might have from the source.
When we found out we were moving to Bethesda for temporary work, this place wasn't really on my list of places to see because the pictures posted on their website seemed outdated (Michelle and Nadine, please post some more modern photos) but I had some extra time so I walked in and Nadine was incredibly helpful on short notice and showed me a several great apartments. I am so glad I went because this was the place we chose and for good reason.
Pros:
-It was a 6 min walk form my door on the 15th floor to the metro station. Being that close was so convenient to get into DC, NIH, and the Airport.
-The building is secured by key fob for residents and staff only, you can't go up the elevator without a resident fob. We always felt safe.
-The leasing office and staff are all really kind and helpful.
-the building common areas and outside are cleaned almost daily
-The concierge is always professional and kind (we had Tasha and loved her). They receives packages, notifies you by email that they have arrived, and holds them safe for you until you can get them. They are there form 9-10am.
-they have an onsite maintenance staff that gets to any issues QUICK!
-30-40 min drive to both airports DCA and Dulles, 45 min drive to BWI.
-the amenities like the clubroom and pool on the 15th floor and the fitness center in the lobby are so good.
-They host fun events occasionally
-The walls are thick, I never heard my neighbors.
-The views are incredible.
-They are a constructing a new area with apartments and shops thaw will be ready soon.
-There is a nice convenient store at the ground floor that has many food, drink, and snack options. Grosvenor Market is walking distance.
-Close to Pike and Rose
-Walking distance to Strathmore Hall
-A few playgrounds within walking distance for our toddler
-Covered underground parking that is secured at night, only residents can access.
-Pet friendly, with dog bags outside.
Cons:
-You can hear the metro but we got used to it.
-Utilities were a bit high
-Only had Verizon for internet (but we never had issues with internet)
-No assigned parking spaces
We are truly sad to have left this place but if we come to Bethesda/DC again, we will try to live here. Nadine was so helpful when we moved in and the new assistant property manager Michelle was so helpful when we moved out. Honestly, go see this place for yourself. It is a 5-star place for sure! Take it from a resident not a random person who never lived there.
