My girlfriend and I really love living here at the Skyhouse! The community is very friendly, the staff have been exceptionally helpful, and we really enjoy the events the complex puts on for the residents! A very special thanks to James and Kirsten in the leasing office for putting on such amazing events for the residents at the pool. We really appreciate how welcoming and helpful everyone has been since living here.

*UPDATE* After almost 5 years we had to move on from SkyHouse, but only because of accepting a job offer overseas. We feel after all this time we are in a position to fairly review SkyHouse. We moved in 3 months before lockdown and had a very easy experience. Then everything changed for the entire world and the staff did the best they could in circumstances that were new to everyone. Maintenance were under stress to complete repairs while following Covid protocols and yet somehow they managed to get it all done. The building had hazmat level cleaning and all amenities were suspended until we were given the all clear by the Governor. During this period there were some corporate changes as well. Instead of having the onsite leasing team take care of renewals a shift was made to corporate. We were not pleased with this change as the result was a rigid based increase system each year. At one point we were ready to leave as units on higher floors were advertised for less than our increase. Once our rent was brought back in line we decided to stay. Again I stress, this is a corporate system with Equity and not on behalf of the leasing team on site. Any issues we ever brought to the leasing team’s attention was always handled professionally, timely and with respect. By the time we left, we were sad to say goodbye to Kirsten and Jimmy. They work very hard to make Skyhouse a friendly and safe place to live. We also have a great deal of respect for Steve and Shannon in the maintenance department. We never waited more than 24 hours for ANY maintenance issue in our entire tenure at SkyHouse. You cannot beat that. You may see complaints in other reviews about the elevator situation at SkyHouse. Most of the buildings in the city built around the same time period are all serviced by the same contractor and it’s a bit of a coincidence they all have these issues. Read the reviews. It’s a widespread issue. The concierge when we first moved in had a dedicated staff. They knew the residents and we all knew them. In the last 2 years this has changed and there has been a big turnover of permanent staff and more temporary staff who are not familiar with residents or even how things in the building work. If I were to find fault in one thing at SkyHouse this is it. Not getting package notifications on weekends or mondays, being told ‘I don’t know can you ask when someone else comes on’ and ‘I’m just a temp’ get annoying when you are waiting for something important or are actually stuck on the storage room floor and the concierge has no idea how to release the elevator. There is definite room for improvement in this area. The property is lovely. The location is excellent with unlimited options to walk, bus, rtd, scoot or rent a car from AVIS just a block away. Lots of discounts available too for renting from SkyHouse, like ZipCar, which is also just a block away. The views of the city from the rooftop are breathtaking and you can enjoy the pool up there or a bbq. We had plenty of great nights and days up there, not to mention amazing views for numerous parades and fireworks. We already miss our beautiful apartment at SkyHouse with magnificent views of the Brown Palace Hotel and the Trinity Church. We hope others will have as good an experience calling SkyHouse home as we did. We are new residents at SkyHouse and our experience couldn’t have been any better. The leasing team have been amazing and really helpful and communicated exceptionally well with us, especially under our circumstances of moving mostly from out of state and having all sorts of unexpected issues to deal with. We are extremely pleased with everything so far. We moved in to a bright, clean unit, it’s very quiet and comfortable. The location really can’t be beat. We feel confident we’ve made the right decision to call SkyHouse our new home.
