Judging from most of the reviews they were either evicted for lease violations, or didn't live in the neighborhood. My apartment was always reasonably priced, the grounds were clean, and the exterminators came regularly. If you got roaches it was probably because you didn't allow the exterminators in for years. I never had problems with my neighbors, and the courtesy officer is very kind, and cares for the neighborhood. This neighborhood was a good place to start my adult life, and not break the bank. Would give it an A+ in price for what ya get. New Renovations with New appliances in all the open apartments too, which is very nice.

I've lived at Brownstone for over a year. It's been a wonderful experience and if I have ever had any maintenance issues Micki and her Maintenance teams have handled everything faster than I could expect it to be. Try Brownstone Apartments for your next home.

Overall I didn't mind having my first apartment here. Pros: -Price is 850 plus water and electric for a 2 bed 2 bath -Fair prices ^ -Location -Nearby fast food -Nearby stores -Close to Old Fort -Nicely sized bedrooms and bathrooms -Patio space -Basically everywhere you'd need to go in Murfreesboro is about 15 mins away at the most -Right next to the college -Lots of young people and families in the area - Sturdy front door and lock, windows to look outside your front door - Good AC units - Good patio coverage from sun Cons: -Living above the landlords family who made noise complaints before 11PM weekly or as a way to get back at us for something they didn't like (however the landlord Mickey didn't allow them to act superior just because they were family) -Apartment had roaches when we moved in and we asked them to help us several times before they finally did. I had to buy my own posion several times. One time I had a really bad wave of them and I found out it was beacuse the people/landlord's family below us exterminated so they all came upstairs. I'm not a huge bug freak but I definitely hated sanitizing my counters 3 times everyday to feel clean - Apartment carpets made it hard to close our guest bedroom door, they were not set properly and we were told someone would fix them but no one did -The doors were not properly hinged so they didn't close all the way, so we replaced one of the doors. -Hot water in a the shower doesn't last over ten minutes, I had to often times boil water to take a hot bath and often times the water would drain out even if it was plugged - One side of our sink was broken the duration of us living there (wouldn't drain and would leak), I asked to have it fixed twice and someone came up to talk to me and said they'd be back later on but never showed back up. So I had a bucket set underneath my sink to catch the leaks and it smelled reptty badly when we dumped the bucket out. -Fridge had a hard time staying cold towards the end of our lease. I didn't fill out a request to be fixed on that one but left a VM so I guess that was my fault on that one -Got fined for cigarettes after I stopped smoking, they weren't mine but we still paid the fee -My SO was threatened with getting his work truck towed because the visistor spaces weren't properly marked but they fixed that Overall there were some issues. The landlord was also overall pretty easy to get along with. There were days she was very nice and easy to communicate with, and there were days where she could be on a short fuse. Everyone mostly minds their business but I'd recommend not living in B building near the landlord's family because they were overall the biggest problem we had the duration of our year long lease. They definately tried to act superior and above the rules. I live in CO now where weed is legal but still do not partake in that but our apartment would often smell like it throughout the night, the smell does make me sick depending on how heavy it is. They would also have very loud fights throughout the nights and mornings, sometimes as late 3 AM, often times we would be woken up by doors slamming and screaming, then they'd turn around call the police on us for playing music on a Saturday night at like midnight when we left them alone to their life for months. Landlord's son also tried to involve me in his wife and their relationship and consantly talk about cheating on her and being very weird towards me and my younger family member, as well as he'd come outside of their home.and yell up at us or other people really loudly about people moving around which often times was the people that lived behind us. Very hypocritical weird people. I wish they cared a little more about broken items, appliances, bugs, and hot water but if I had to live here again, I wouldn't be devestated. It wouldn't be my first choice but it's definately a lot better than some places I have lived or been in. I'd say its a good place for younger people who are going to school, room mates, new families getting on their feet.
