I have lived in the Grand Vistas going on THREE years now. I really like my apartment and would highly recommend it. I also have several friends who live here as well and seem to be happy as they all renewed this year. However I live in the Grand Vistas, which are the upgraded apartments, I can't really speak for the regular Vista apartments. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1- The apartments are fairly well designed (BIG closets and bathrooms!). 2- The internet is fast and reliable (Comcast). 3- The gym has been updated and renovated. 4- The location is great (across the street from Kroger, 3 minutes from the 501, 5 minutes from Walmart, Lowes, and Liberty). 5- All our windows point toward the trees. 6- Maintenance always gets to us on the same day. 7- We have a garage so parking is no issue for us. 8-They have remedied the pet waste removal problem by DNA testing all animals so if any waste is found the owner of said pet will be fined, a little extreme, but it works! 9-I don't hear my neighbors, EVER! Nor have I gotten any complaints, I live on a middle floor and I blast my music, exercise, and have even used power tools in my apartment, and have received no complaints. I know my neighbors don't hear me because I never hear them either. 10- Bug free! Which I know is a big problem at other apartment complexes. 11- Good neighborhood. There will always be the odd duck or bad apple now and again, but I always feel safe here, my packages don't ever get stolen, and there isn't the typical college rabble here. Cons: 1- Kitchen is small with very little counter space. 2- Living room and bedrooms don't have lighting, you have to buy lamps (totally weird to me). 3- Apartments are on the higher end, they could easily be $100 dollars less, and watch out for the rent increase when you renew. 4- Appliances are not cheap but not great either (i.e. dishwasher sounds more like a vacuum). 5- Fireplace is really chintzy. 6- Smoke detectors are ridiculously sensitive, hardly a time goes by when I use my oven that they don't go off (and yes I've cleaned my oven a few times). We like our apartment and we have researched almost all others in the area. It seems no matter where you go there is going to be some things you gain and things you lose but of all the apartments we've looked at and considered, we keep calling the Vistas our home. Shout out to the awesome staff too! The Big D, Mary Sue, KC, and the new Mama!

We are currently renting at the Grand Vistas and have had a wonderful experience so far. We had to have a place to stay while we were building our house and this was it! As far as parking goes as long as you get there before 10 pm you will find a space. The staff was courteous, professional and very helpful, especially Samanthajo. She helped us get settled in, and they provided a very comprehensive moving in packet that was invaluable. Appliances were fine for an apartment, and rooms were clean and quiet. Especially when you consider the number of college students for this housing area. We have had one emergency call, and the maintenance crew were there almost immediately. My best advice is be a good tenant, don't tear stuff up and pay your bills on time, and you will have a great experience.
