Owner of the building is super nice, I have been having a really good time working with them, the manager is really passionate all the time whenever I needed help in the building. And you could tell that the management team really is doing the best they can to make City Lights a comfortable place for commercial and residential tenants. Definitely recommend check out this place, I even have a friend of mine who used to live here said that they are going to miss this building a lot and wouldn't want to leave if they didn't have to move to another state. I really love how they are bringing in something different on the first floor of the building, a traditional Asian bakery that is right across the Community College of Vermont. You won't regret trying their tasty pastries and bubble tea drinks, perfect quick meals.

My two years at City Lights was nothing but spectacular. These apartments are in a prime location and were very well designed from the floor plan, to parking garage, to even providing a fitness room. I loved being a short walk to great food around the Winooski circle and also being super close to the interstate. I was able to observe the buildings being constructed and had several conversations with the developer before the grand opening. It was pretty cool to talk to the builder himself! I learned a great deal about their vision for bringing more high quality and affordable mixed use living Winooski. The Dagesse’s were some of the easiest people to talk to that I have ever met and they were always honest and timely in their responses and/or repairs. During my stay in this building the hallways were always quiet and common areas were well maintained. I loved that on the ground floor there is the Morning Light Bakery. I highly recommend these appartments.

Update:::One of the owners reached out about two weeks ago. He wanted to make sure things had been taken care of. He recognized the previous review went a while unnoticed and stated he hadn’t realized all that had been happening. Most items had been completed by the time we spoke, and those that hadn’t were to much of a hassle on our end to have them come in and do, although he said they would. Towards the end of the phone call he said they were getting a new treadmill and they did. So with a better piece of equipment in the workout space and the acknowledgement of the lack of response earlier, I’ve increased the review. ————- City Lights’ owner is listed as Dagesse, hence the review I’m leaving. The rent is high for not many amenities and extremely slow repair time. Starting our time off, our apartment at City Lights in Winooski, VT was not ready for us to move in and getting things fixed takes a long time and multiple contacts. For example, the dryer did not work. We had to email 3-4 times and finally sending screen shots of our electric usage and the dryer owner’s manual to get someone to look at the dryer. The dryer was taking 4 hours to dry a small/medium load. The previous tenant still has access to the main buzzer, we are not able to buzz people in (despite being told on multiple occasions it will be done). We have been here for two months. Our fire alarm was malfunctioning and was removed...has not been replaced or fixed. The toilet paper holder does not stay up despite being tightened when maintenance came to fix the bathroom fan (which wasn’t working when we moved in). The painter got paint on the floors along all baseboards in the living room (all four walls), did not paint the entire length of the wall, and in some rooms only painted spots leaving the walls uneven. During the walk through, cleaning I was told would be completed was not, and with the other issues, doing it ourselves seemed easier. The last few are just annoying considering the other things that seem to be going on. There isn’t anyone other than the property manager to talk to and it feels as though our request get brushed aside or we are told it will be done to get us to stop asking. I should have listened to the red flags when the property manager stood me up on the morning we scheduled to get the keys. We then rescheduled for another day and she was more than 30 minutes late to meet me here at the building. If anyone has a better way to reach someone, please share!
