Available for rent about October 1, 2013, is an approximately 1500 square foot three bedroom, two-bath Monterey home in the Monte Vista area with views of Mt Toro, city lights and Monterey Bay. It will be available for a suggested rent of $2500 per month. The rent is discounted from $2575 for helping to report and handle minor maintenance as needed. It is a non-smoking home with one small dog under 20 pounds with excellent references being considered on a case by case basis. Pet rent is $25 per month. The Monte Vista area is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the Monte Vista Shopping Center and just a few blocks further is the major Del Monte Shopping Center and Cinemark 13 movie theaters. It is walking distance to downtown historic Monterey, the library and the wharf areas. This is a spacious and well-maintained home with lovely views of Monterey Bay and the mountains to the east from large living room windows. Privacy hedges and the hillside setting of this lovely home set it back from the street below but still allow the beautiful views. This ranch-style home is all on one level with two-car, attached garage with automatic door opener allowing direct access into the home. The washer and dryer are provided and are in the garage along with extra storage areas. At the front of the property is an upslope driveway to the two car garage with guest parking as well. The back of the property has a fenced yard that is level-out and has an upper terrace also fenced which adds up to a very large back yard, making this a lovely and private area in Monterey's sunbelt. The interior and exterior of the home have fresh painted as of two years ago. There is a brick walkway leading to a lovely wood and etched-glass front door. The entryway is large and has a handy coat closet plus hard wood flooring. To the left is the living room with hardwood floors, views, a fireplace with gas insert and remote control. There is also central forced air gas heat throughout. Off the living room is the dining room which has sliding doors to the back yard. Next is the kitchen, which has new linoleum flooring, also fresh paint, quite new white appliances including a side by side refrigerator, gas stove with very new microwave built in over the stove, new Bosch water-saving dishwasher; disposal and pass-through to the living room. Neutral carpet covers the hallway and all three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a private and updated bath with over-sized walk-in shower and lovely Corian tile and glass walls. The second bath off the hall has vintage black and pink tile in very good condition. This bath has a full bathtub with shower option. Yard care is not included in this rental amount but the current residents have paid gardeners and have a good recommendation and the amount per month to maintain the yard, if you choose not to do it yourself. It has been about $180 per month for two visits per month and it looks lovely. Your lease will specify that you must maintain it as you find it. Please feel free to drive by 80 Monte Vista Drive in Monterey, although due to the hill in front, it is not readily viewed, so the drive-by is valuable to see the surrounding areas and lovely setting. You will see the Beaumont Property Management sign in front at the bottom of the driveway. Please do NOT disturb occupants.
