A few minutes further north is Magic Sands, known for body surfing, boogie boarding or just relaxing at the beach. For land lovers, Alii Drive just outside the complex is one of Kona’s most popular stretches for runners, walkers and bicyclists, and is well-known for being the start of the marathon leg of the Ironman World Championship. For golfers, the Keauhou Country Club is a 5-minute drive to the south, and for the anglers Kona is famous for its world class deep sea fishing. The nearby Keauhou Shopping Center offers several restaurants, cinemas, groceries, drug store, clothing and other shopping. Traveling along the ocean up Alii Drive to the north, you will find downtown Kailua-Kona with more restaurants & shopping and Kailua Bay.
