About 71A Nassau St
Room for rent in a 3-bedroom, 2 level Kensington house. Located on Nassau Street, between Augusta and Bellevue, just seconds away from Ideal Coffee, Ronnie's, Paul's Boutique, a gelato shop, and 2 produce shops (1 is organic). Everything you need is 5 minutes away. Kitchen, washroom, and common area are in the basement. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is lots of cupboard and counter space. The living room has a TV (no cable) with a DVD and VHS player. We've got lots of VHS and a moderate number of DVDs for your enjoyment. We also have a kind-of-shitty record player with a diverse array of vinyl; those, however, are my babies and I ask that you are precious with them. Also we keep most of our books downstairs because there's just not enough room of our own. There's plenty of space left on one of the shelves if you have books to store, and everything is available to share. There's plenty of couch space for you to have friends over. The washroom isn't very big, but there's a tub if you're into baths and we like it kept clean. The room is a decent size-big enough for a double bed, but a queen might overpower the room. There's a nice closet and a large window looking out toward the street. The walls are a robin's egg blue right now, but you can do whatever you want. We are: a couple, but we rent separate rooms because we appreciate our own space. My hours are erratic because I'm a bartender, and my partner is self-employed and works from home most of the time. We mostly keep to ourselves, but are open to hanging out if the mood strikes. You are: an adult. I don't mean that in an ageist way; some 50-year olds aren't adults. I just mean to say that an adult is mature, responsible, respectful, considerate, and flexible. I don't believe in cleaning schedules because adults should just realize when something needs to get done i.e. the tub looks a little grimy or it's not garbage day but the recycling is overflowing so you take it outside anyway. Rent is $645, plus hydro, which is ~$40-$80 per month, depending on the season (paid every 3 months). Internet is included. Last month's rent is required to secure your spot, and first month is obviously due on February 1st. We look forward to hearing from you.
