My partner and I need a thoughtful, considerate roommate in our 3 bedroom house for February 1. Rent is $400, utilities come to about $100 each (water, hydro, internet). No parking spot, but there's ample street parking and we're a 10 minute walk from the U of W and close to several major bus routes. There are laundry facilities in the basement, and A/C for the summer. The room we're renting is furnished with a bed and dresser, or you can bring your own. Shared kitchen and bathroom, no cats/dogs, small pets are fine. I'm a bicycle mechanic and writer, while my partner works at a bookstore and makes art films. We're both rad, queer polyfolk and are quite active in the scene, so we want our place to be a friendly and safe space for all kinds of folks to come visit. We're quiet, love to read, and consider ourselves punk intellectuals. We're also vegetarians but don't mind having meat-eaters around, as long as you do your own dishes. We like things to be somewhat tidy but aren't neat freaks. I have a bike workshop in the basement, and a well-behaved (and caged) ball python named Sneaker.
