This is a partial basement level home, so it has the advantage of great geothermal regulation in terms of temperature. There is not an abundance of natural light in the kitchen or bedroom. The living room has good west-facing doors for great natural light. Roughly 650 sq ft. for you to enjoy includes large living room, bedroom with large double closet, kitchen, bath, large storage space, washer and dryer. There is a separate driveway just for you. A large backyard that includes plenty of garden space if you are interested in joining the gardeners who live upstairs. There are flower/garden beds along your driveway as well. This is really a great space for anyone who is looking to be close to town, live in a home with lots of great amenities, have the freedom to connect with community in the home or choose not to as your level is completely separate. If you would like to connect with some cool neighbors, the folks who live upstairs are some good ones. We are 30ish years old, into yoga and healing arts, the dance community, event planning, gardening, outdoor activities, and conscious community creation. This is not a party house and is almost always on the quiet side, not everyone works traditional m-f jobs. Upstairs, the house is quiet by 11pm. We would expect you who would live in the lower level of the home to be considerate of making loud noises during quiet hours, and we will do the same for you. Occasionally we will have a potluck, bbq, or some sort of gathering that we can communicate about. No pressure to connect with your upstairs neighbors though of course, you are welcome to a peaceful quiet space as much as you like. Everyone keeps quite busy as is often the case in this town. Prefer no pets, but it might not hurt to check with me anyway, i might make an exception. The couch is leather which is my biggest concern. The neighborhood is a mix of families and up and coming productive citizens :) This is North Asheville, we are 1 mile from the historic Grove Park Inn and some of the best neighborhood walking, jogging and biking routes in town. Also with a short 1/4 mile you can dine at some great restaurants like the iconic Asheville Pizza and Brewing Co. or get some sushi, burritos, and cocktails, all within a short distance.The bus stop is right down the street as well.
