Hi, I’m looking for a roommate to rent the large bedroom of a bright, shared 1 bedroom (plus open-concept den area) apartment starting in late May or June 1st. The main leaseholder is away until the end of the summer or year (so a stay of either length is negotiable). I’m only sometimes at the apartment and would occupy the sectioned den-space when there. The large bedroom is for the person I’m trying to find, and there is also a large desk available for study or work from home purposes. The desk is located in the living room but could potentially be moved into the bedroom. This apartment is quite fancy with spectacular, almost 270 degree views of the city and ocean. It's also only about a 25 minute walk to the down-town side of Vancouver from here. I’m ideally looking for someone who is in Vancouver for work or school purposes, or is here on a working holiday for the summer months. Testimonial from my previous roommate is available upon request. The bathroom, kitchen and living room space are shared. There is a 55 inch HDTV, beautiful tropical plants, and a “plant wall” to help divide the desk space from the living room area. The apartment is very clean, and we have nice and respectful neighbours. It's located within a short walk to the Broadway City Hall and King Ed stations, #9, #15, #33 and #99 B-line buses. The utilities include high speed WiFi and are negotiable, but not more than $75 per month. Perks: - situated in an area with great amenities - includes an outdoor pool and BBQ area in the summer months - bike locker, with a spare bike you can use - variety of specialty coffee shops and renowned restaurants nearby - affordable community gym within walking distance - printer, shredder, scanner, high-speed internet - a/c unit in the living room (can be stored in the winter months) - kitchen includes microwave, new dishwasher, stove, dishware, small and large French press About me: I just completed a second degree at UBC and now in the process of setting up a small business. Please tell me about yourself – are you a student or working professional? Where are you originally from? Do you have any hobbies? Also, are you just visiting, or plan to stay for a longer time?
