About 5004 River Road
The 2000 sq. foot log cabin is located on the Truckee river, near the intersection of Hwy. 89 and Olympic Valley Rd. It is less than 5 minutes to Olympic Valley Resort and under 10 to Tahoe City and the lake! There are unobstructed views of the river from an 18' living room window, a hot tub nestled in fir trees, gas fireplace, 2 decks, and plenty of room for cooking, dining and relaxing. Quiet, peaceful. In nature. There are hiking trails along the river that lead to a trail going up to the Tahoe Rim Trail. The house is close to the bike path that follows the river to Tahoe City and beyond. This is a special place to sit on the lawn and watch the river. The log cabin has a kitchen with a dining area that seats 8 and 4 more at the breakfast bar. The well equipped kitchen has a large gas range and dishwasher. There is a washer/dryer. There are four bedrooms and three full baths. The master suite has a queen sized bed, a double futon couch, private deck with views of the river and full bath with a shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and lovely views of the grounds and river. The third bedroom has a double bunk with a single on top and a pull-out trundle below (sleeps 4 total). The fourth bedroom has a daybed with a pull out trundle (sleeps 2). The hot tub is nestled in fir trees and can be accessed through either deck. Lounging on the lower lawn, right at the river is magical. The main deck has patio furniture for dining alfresco and views of the river. The main cabin is all one level on the second floor of the house. The cabin is on property at the very end of the road and is very private. There is plenty of parking and a garage and storage. The cabin is fully furnished. The road is well plowed in winter. There is high speed internet. The cabin is available from June 1 to November 30 (that is 6 months exactly). The renter pays utilities. Pets are allowed.
