Colonial Commons - Welcome to Colonial Commons. This condo is part of small and quiet complex that are all individually owned condominiums and have almost all owner-occupied residents. This is not a rental complex. The association does a great job managing this property and recently new vinyl siding, new water heaters, and a new roof have been completed. It is an attractive and well cared for complex. Unit #A3 is on the second floor, and one of two highly desirable one-bedrooms available there. When available for rent, these always go quick. The best feature of the condo is the open one-floor layout. Right when you walk in there is a large living room that is essentially all open to the dining area and kitchen. Only a small section of the wall where the refrigerator is located separates these two spaces. This is ideal for people that love an open layout and flexibility to set it up in different ways. Another bonus is that large furniture would comfortably fit in this space. It also makes entertaining easy (when the world returns to normal) or just being close to the action in the kitchen. The ceramic tile floors run throughout the common living space giving an easy to maintain and clean look. Being on the second floor and facing west gets a lot of afternoon light and in general this is a very naturally bright condo. There is a unique “eyebrow” window perfectly placed where a dining table would go. A special surprise is the high-end front-loading washer and dryer that comes with the unit and is in the unit! This is conveniently located in the full spacious bathroom. There is also a low maintenance fiberglass shower and tub. The best feature of the condo is how affordable the unit is for a condo rental with a washer/dryer, fully applianced kitchen (including a dishwasher), and low utility bills. Tenant is only responsible for an electric bill. Owner pays condo fee, water, landscaping, snow removal. The condo is also located in a very convenient location on the boarder of Plainville and Southington on Rt 10. Rt. 10 is the shopping and dining mecca of the area. The highway is less than 2 miles away, making it ideal for a commuter. Please keep in mind there is a strict application process that focuses heavily on credit. A minimum credit score of 675 is required. There is also background, employment and income verification. One year minimum lease. Only one month security deposit with a strong application.
