This housing community is called the Evergreen Gardens Apartments and is designated for Seniors age 62 years of age and older and/or disabled regardless of age. This complex is subsidized by USDA, Rural Development. Most units at this complex have rent based on income. This is based on a calculation process in which rent and utilities typically do not exceed 30% of adjusted gross monthly income. Some units are not subsidized and the rent is set at "basic rent" which currently is $512.00 . For these units we graciously accept section 8 vouchers. These apartments are very well maintained, clean and quiet. There is a very large community room for events and activities. There is also an on-site laundry facility and off street parking.
