Email: **** This is a Vintage Brick 3 family with a first floor large apt with hardwood floors, 3 bedrooms in a convenient, but busy section of Fairfield called Grasmere. Convenient to I-95 exit 23, Fairfield Metro North and so many restaurants you'd never need to cook! 1/2 mile from the beach and Whole Foods is literary steps away. Many other perks too numerous to list. Most of these vintage brick townhouses are really tiny- but THIS one is very spacious by comparison. This unit requires numerous renovations (specifically a new fridge, a major bathroom repair, cracked/peeling ceilings, painting of walls/trim, floor polishing, removal of gross, dirty, torn carpeting in the bedrooms, and an old cast iron pipe hidden in a closet that was enclosed with plywood that is rotted and falling apart and the most hideous tacky wall paneling from the 70s in one of the bedrooms). The landlord seems to think he can find an immediate tenant that is willing to move in while the renovations are in progress or a tenant that will do the renovations themselves!!! As the estate manager I find this situation unrealistic and possibly unethical. But apparently the housing availability in Fairfield is in such short supply that just maybe some handi man or woman would be willing to accept these terms. This would be a really nice place to live IF a through renovation was accomplished. The landlord is really stubborn and refuses to invest in the most practical improvements. Also he is often difficult to deal with due to confusion, deafness and dementia (he lives on the 2nd floor).
