If you are looking for a place to call home that is peaceful, beautiful, and has a solid community of housemates, this is the spot! We are located a gorgeous 25 minute drive west of Boulder and 15 minutes from Nederland. The house sits on the edge of Roosevelt National Forest, so hiking, biking, and cross country skiing is literally right out the back door! The room will be available September 1st. It has a walk in closet, unbelievable view of James Peak and Gordon Gulch, and shares a bathroom with two others. The kitchen is also shared, but there is plenty of space on the island for meal prep and each refrigerator is only shared by two. The oven/range is gas and there is also a grill outside. There is a private pond in the neighborhood with fishing and swimming access in the summer, and ice skating in the winter. Parking is assigned. The driveway is steep at parts, so four wheel drive is recommended, but we have had housemates get by with two wheel drive in summer and winter with snow tires. The garage is used for ping pong, a weight bench, work shop, and plenty of storage space. We strive to create a relaxed environment based on mutual respect for each other, common and personal spaces, and open communication. There are two well behaved dogs in the house, one 5 year old male and another 13 year old female. They are very sweet and will respect the boundaries that you set. We have room for one older female dog that is a good fit, but it will take some time for everyone to warm up to each other! We can only accommodate one occupant per room. Rent is $650/month for a 12 month lease. Utilities, internet, and trash are usually split between the house and usually $50-$80/mo. The more we conserve the less we pay!
