My husband and I own a beautiful 4 bedroom home in Holland Heights, that we have converted into a Creative Christian Community. Creative Community: What does that entail? This is more than just a place to live, it's a community. This means we get to know each other, share meals sometimes (frequency depending on everyone's schedules), and encourage each other in our Christian walk, and in our creative endeavors. :) So far we have painters, guitarist, a pianist, and three photographers. About the house: Great house with many great features: - recently updated kitchen (with solid surface countertop) and bathrooms - brand new (2014 / 2015) stainless appliances (refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher) - three bathrooms: 1 full, 1 three quarter, and 1 half - large attached 2.5 stall garage (870 sq ft) - beautiful wood-burning fireplace in front room - cathedral ceilings and bay window seat in front room - large unfinished storage room with built in shelving downstairs, and plenty of additional storage in garage - whole house humidifier attached to furnace - built in the 1990's, only about 20 years old - large fenced in back yard, total lot size nearly half an acre (I have dreams of making a garden this spring and would love some help!) - large deck (200 sq ft) with stairs to backyard, great for entertaining in the spring/summer - roomy (2800 sq ft) and open floor plan - TWO great living spaces! Each has a kitchen (full upstairs, and partial downstairs), an eating area and an entertainment area. Great for being with people when you want to, but also plenty of space to spread out/ or do your own thing. - beautiful flowering trees in spring - a grand piano (any pianists? ^_~) The basement area has nice high ceilings, and windows in the bedrooms, so it's really open/airy and not very much like a basement. The two bedrooms upstairs share a full bathroom, and the two downstairs share a 3/4 bathroom. Great location: - at end of small cul-de-sac with great neighbors, including an amazing house church that meets right across the street. - easy access to lots of shopping, restaurants, and highways (196 and 31) - easy walk (less than a mile) from Van Raalte Farm Park (walking trails, etc) - City of Holland helps residents with spring and fall cleanup services, snow removal on sidewalks, etc - only 2.5 miles to scenic downtown Holland Who are we looking for? Someone who is Christian, and creative, and wants to make a few friends and live in community with us. Right now we have guys (and my husband and I) on the main floor, and girls-only downstairs, but our girls have to move on to a new place, so we're open to accepting either two guys, or two girls. We're open to people in any walk of life as far as age goes, we currently have a lot of people who are fresh out of college, but believe that there are valuable things we can learn from all walks of life. Rent: is $400 per room, plus utilities (which are usually around $55 ea, depending on how many people we have in the house splitting it).
