My husband and I needed to find a new place to live fast, and the staff at the Metropolitan were very helpful. Rocky and Olivia were responsive, knowledgeable, and patient -- and were able to get us moved in three days after we applied (they even gave us a thoughtful welcome gift!). We've now been here for almost four months and we have only had positive interactions with the leasing and maintenance staff. All of our maintenance requests are addressed within 48 hours, our packages are never stolen, the common areas are clean, and the community events are wonderful. We wish we moved here sooner. Lastly, the location of this building is perfect. It's safe and clean. It's also walking distance to the lake, mall, whole foods, etc. We couldn't ask for more.

We absolutely love living here! The location is amazing and the office staff has been nothing but helpful since the very beginning of us moving in! Special shout outs to Yasmin as she always answers any questions I have. The amenities are awesome and I especially love how spacious our apt is even though it is just a one bedroom. Definitely give this place a tour even if you are unsure!!

I've been waiting a bit to review The Met in case it was "too good to be true," and I'm happy to say that that isn't the case! Put simply: this is the best apartment building in the area, and a great living experience. We looked at three other apartment buildings in the area and weren't feeling really excited about any of them. More than that: at least one failed to send floor plans to us, and the leasing agent didn't seem interested in helping us along in the process. What a relief, then, that our tour and application process with The Met was fantastic from start to finish. Our leasing agent (who has since moved on from the company) was enthusiastic and so incredibly helpful; she sent along floor plans and next steps before we even arrived back home after the tour! They worked with us to answer all questions (and there were many) and to make the process as easy as possible. Far and away a better experience than some others in the area. More than that, my partner and I both got a "good vibe" from The Met right away, which hadn't happened in any other locations. We've lived here since late May and have loved it. The building is beautiful and has great amenities. All the common spaces are kept well-maintained. The outdoor areas - grills, green space, and pool - are great to have and never seem overcrowded. Security isn't an issue, as you have to have your fob to get into the building after 6PM, and parking is blocked by a gate to ensure local concert or mall-goers don't steal all the spaces. Within the units, there are high ceilings and spacious layouts. We love our walk-in closet and balcony! The fixtures are all modern and lovely, beautiful and thoughtfully-designed. There's plenty of natural light, especially up on the fifth floor where there is an extra row of windows. The maintenance and leasing staff are quick to respond to requests or concerns and are just plain friendly. The leasing office - especially Mercedes - is fast in addressing any questions that I've sent over. Any issue I've had have been replied to and taken care of right away and haven't occurred again after. The staff really cares about their residents, and they have resident events every month which makes this even more clear. I will agree with some others that the walls are a bit thin, so this is something to consider. I'll also say, though, that as a very sensitive-to-sounds-sleeper, it hasn't been as much of an issue as I worried. At least around our unit, it's often completely silent. Only a few times have we heard neighbors talking loudly or watching TV late at night, but turning on some white noise drowns it out right away. Also, as this is my one and only concern with the building, I'd say things are pretty good. The Met is definitely the best apartment building in the area with great units, amenities, and staff. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for their next home in the heart of Columbia!
