Feel at home in this large townhouse in the Shaw neighborhood. This meticulously renovated space maintains much of its original charm with woodwork, wainscoting, and fireplaces. This house has a modern kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances and a large dining room. The living room has pocket doors, allowing you to close off the room and convert it to a private bedroom with a convertible sofa bed. The full bathroom is just a few steps away from the living room and has doors opening to both the dining room and the hallway. There is an LED Smart TV with HBO, Netflix, and other apps, plus a 3D Blue-ray DVD player, also with smart apps, in the living room. Amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, an iron and ironing board, a clothes washer and dryer, an en-suite master bath, a full-size Viking stove and oven, a high-end microwave, a double-door refrigerator with ice and water dispensers, a dishwasher, a toaster, a blender, a kettle, a crockpot, pots and pans, a grocery shopping cart, three full bathrooms with bathtubs, remote-controlled ceiling fans and lights, and two HVAC systems. After the first pet, there is a charge of $8 per pet per night plus DC stay tax. The townhouse is in the Shaw neighborhood, which has many restaurants and stores within walking distance. It is conveniently located near the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The Shaw Metro station is three blocks from the apartment, and the largest grocery store in DC, Giant Foods, is about a 10-minute walk away. This unit has a walk score of 92 and a transit score of 82. The unit is a 10 to 15-minute walk from two metro stops (Shaw-Howard University and Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center), and there are also two bus stops by the unit. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the National Mall via metro and about 10 minutes in a car (with no traffic). For insurance reasons, rentals are not available to anyone under the age of 25. No sharp heels or stilettos are allowed, as the hardwood flooring is original and very expensive to repair. You must clean up after your pet and dispose of all droppings in garbage cans; no droppings are allowed in the backyard or garden area. Please do not flush menstrual products in the toilets, as they will clog them. Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 9 am. No open flames are allowed.
