The Historic Cary House Hotel provides a comfortable environment with amenities such as air conditioning, cable TV, tea and coffee maker, and iron with ironing board. While the unit does not include a full kitchen or eating utensils, the charm of the hotel more than makes up for it. On-site parking is available for $10 per vehicle, with a one-car limit. Make sure to book your parking spot beforehand. Dogs are welcome, up to two per stay, with a $50 pet fee. Service animals are exempt from pet fees, but aggressive breeds are not allowed. Located directly on the way to Lake Tahoe, the hotel is a short stroll from Main Street Placerville, where you can explore antique shops, art galleries, coffee shops, and local eateries. Nearby attractions include the Placerville Historical Museum, El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Authority, Hangtown's Gold Bug Park and Mine, and Boeger Winery, all within a few miles.
