Bright, two-bedroom apartment with a large deck in a smoke-free triplex. The building is located on Putman Ave. in the New Edinburgh/Lindenlea area close to shopping, buses, the By-Ward Market, tennis courts, and good schools. The University of Ottawa and Global Affairs are about a twenty-minute walk. The tenants in the building are quiet and considerate, and the neighbourhood is quiet and safe. This unit is on the top floor and has two bedrooms (each about 12’ x 12’), a living room (about 11’ x 17’), a dining room (about 11’ x10’), a three-piece bath, a galley kitchen (10’ x 6`), and two storage areas (including one for bicycles). The windows are modern and most of them open inwards for cleaning. The verandah, which is exclusive to this apartment, measures 8’ x 12’ and is screened, wired, rooved, and windowed. The apartment has hardwood floors in good condition. The kitchen has ample storage space and comes equipped with a stove and a frost-free refrigerator. The walls are painted a Mediterranean (or ochre) off-white except for those in the kitchen and bathroom, which are white. There is also a laundry facility on site, which may be used on a time-sharing basis for a fee of $17 per person per month. Heat and water, are included in the rent of $1950. Hydro for the lights and stove (about $45 a month) is extra. Parking is available. An initial lease for one year well be required.
