When picking my first apartment I toured many places. None of them felt like home and the management seeemed uninvolved. This was until I found the Sterling Apartments at Kearney. Management is always communicating with you and trying to do their best to help you in all situations. One of my favorite perks of living here is I don't have to change my own lightbulb even and maintenance requests are normally answered same day. I overall love living here and would recommend it to anyone.

I have been at Sterling for about two and a half months, and I have had nothing but great experiences. Judy and Jodi are extremely helpful and maintenance always fixes any issues quickly!

Me and my roommate have lived here for about 3 years. Through those three years, we have gone through a lot of changes in management, from property managers or maintenance. But even with those changes, we felt our stay here is more like home. The community is pretty chill, people are nice and the property managers Judy and Jodi have been nothing but nice to us! Our previous property manager has messed up our previous lease along with many others but when Judy came into the picture, she reassured us that everything was going to get fixed and be reverted to where they were supposed to be. She did just that and we weren’t getting overcharged for unknown fees from the old property manager; which I brought the topic up to them but they didn’t listen. I remember seeing her working all day and night to try to get all of that figured out, not just for us, but the others who were affected as well. Rarely nowadays, we don’t see many managers that work close with their tenants. Some of them forget people’s names or don’t remember what apartment building they are from. But here, I feel like Judy and Jodi truly want to get to know the community and actually takes the time to know about people’s lives and what they do. It just feels like family here with them especially with the events/activities they throw every once in a while. They have gave me and my roommate so many good tips and tricks on things and helped us out so much with unexpected situations. The overall living is a solid 8.5/10, in my opinion. It is expensive, but so is everywhere else unfortunately. For me and my roommate, we had to find a place with a garage and pet friendly. (Could have always lived without the garage if we didn’t own a pretty nice ride). And finding apartments/homes here in Kearney is so exhausting and just plain awful. Most places here don’t accept pets and some of the property managers have a reputation of bad business. For what amenities and options Sterling has, personally, I think it is worth it. I have a happy dog, a car that is safe from the weather and a secure place. Do I think things could improve in some areas? Absolutely. But for what I have with right now, is more than enough for me. Pros: • Attentive and friendly Managers • Pet Friendly • Utilities besides Electric and Internet are included in the rent • Secure Directories Cons: • Maintenance (Currently we have a new team so they are still settling in) • Price (Pretty decent for what they all offer but I would really like to see some improvements to match that price such as better appliances)
