The complex is a gated community with individually coded access for each resident. It features private balconies and patios, with both standard and remodeled units available. All Units have a washer and dryer connection and come standard with a stove, fridge, dishwasher, and garbage disposals (remodeled units have microwaves). The remodeled units have new cabinets, tubs, vanity, hardwood-like flooring, granite countertops, and much more. Conveniently located near the University of Alabama campus. The community has sidewalks that lead to nearby restaurants and retail stores. The closest highway is Highway 82. Tuscaloosa County School System.

Had nothing but wonderful experiences at Essex Square! Teresa is very kind and knowledgeable about the complex,and was of great help helping us sign our lease. The complex is gated,the pool is kept clean,and it is very quiet and safe! The remodeled units are beautiful and definitely worth the price! The hardwood floors and granite counters make it feel real classy. Loving our apartment so far!

I lived in Tuscaloosa for 6 years in multiple places, Essex Square was by far my best stay. Teresa does a great job at keeping residents up to date with everything and goes out of her way to help residents with things. The maintenance team gets to you almost immediately once you put in a request and the property is well maintained. The community is very quiet and relaxed. I’d recommend living here over anywhere else in the Tuscaloosa/Northport area if you’re looking for an apartment.
