I had a great experience. The building is clean and the building staff is excellent. As an example, a member of the facilities staff sent me a text each time i received a perishable food box as a courtesy. I would highly recommend that you chose this over other choices in the area (i have friends in other buildings who have has bad experiences)

Great Place to stay. The Berdan was a great place to stay, you have to keep in mind the location you are moving to if it's downtown and especially the place I was at. I wasn't prepared for the noise of the bar outside my window during the summer months, if that's your thing then cool enjoy the music :) . The apartment I was in also had enormous gigantic huge freaking windows, granted these are good to let the sunlight in but it gets cold in the winter, plus the exposed brick walls were amazing to look at but they didn't hold the heat in all that well. Fortunately they have an amazing maintenance staff that was able to fix these issues. Also if you have a flat screen tv they will help you mount it for a small charge but it's nice to have that option. When I initially moved here they didn't allow pets they do now so if you have a furry friend you can bring them with you. The office staff is ok to work with too, I mainly bugged Myranda about upstairs noise issues I was having that ultimately made me leave this place. Also there is garage parking, and the roof is accessible and you can grill up there and it has a nice view of the city. Lastly, I am a man of color and had no trouble getting in here, there are lots of people like me staying here so no racism. They even have events on occasion so you can meet your neighbors I didn't go to any of these though. There is also a secure mailroom for packages and everything else is secure also so no-one can just walk into the building without a key, security cameras are throughout the garage also for extra security. Apartment has everything except a garbage disposal which would be nice I liked the icemaker and dishwasher too. The only thing that I didn't particularly enjoy using all that much was the washer/dryer combo it takes forever to dry your clothes still a nice to have to avoid the laundromat. Oh did I mention the music from the bar, don't worry you will hear it its nice they play all kinds of different music and its free since its right outside your windows if you happen to live on that side of the building. If your interested ask for an annex apartment is what they called it. I was in 321 if your interested see the attached video.
